Odyn's Fury Has a Bleed?

These two tooltips confuse me. One talent claims to buff the bleed from Odyn’s Fury, but Odyn’s Fury doesn’t claim to have a bleed. Is it actually a bleed? Bleeds are supposed to be non-elemental dmg that bypasses armor.

The damage over time effect in the tooltip is the bleed in question.

Bleeds don’t do physical dmg, though.

Bleeds are physical.

Nope. Bleeds have always bypassed armor. This is the first bleed I’ve seen that doesn’t use the word bleed and does physical dmg.

A simple google search would show you that yes bleeds deal physical damage even if they ignore armor.

Some bleeds still do incorrectly state physical damage instead of bleed damage. Deep wounds as protection says the target will bleed for physical damage, and the bird boss in academy has a bleed that is listed as dealing physical damage. Bleeds do bypass armor, but they are still of the physical school.

They should really just label bleeds a “bleed” effect much like poison, magic, curse effects are.

effect is not the same as school though.
And there already is a effect class, or whatever you want to call it, called “bleed”.

hence abilities that can remove or buff bleeds.
(don’t recall currently if the tooltip says “Bleed”, but the effect class exists)

Bleeds are classed as “bleed effects”.
But they do “physical damage” and are in the “physical school.”

note that bleeds don’t HAVE TO be in the physical school or do physical dmg, but the spell database is generally consistent that way. They could hypothetically implement a “Dark Bleed” that is “Effect: Bleed”, “School: Physical”, “Damage Type: Shadow”. It would cause arguments because of the inconsistency, but it could easily be done.

I meant they should properly label them, they are currently not labeled on the debuff themselves.
