this isn’t tracking properly. I just went back and checked how many I looted (8) but it only gave me credit for 6. I think the Encroaching Fungarian mobs are dropping 2 but I only got credit for 1. please fix.

And you’re positive you didn’t have 2 in your inventory prior to picking up the quest?
I did not. I had to get the full 10. after I had looted 8, it said 6 and then I got 4 more.
I thought this was by design, meaning each disturbed earth ‘node’ you loot most of the time only counted as 1 wax towards quest completion regardless of how many individual Odd Globs of Wax you actually loot. Some harder mobs/events would give you multiple wax credits towards completing the quest.
But that is just my assumption, it could be a bug. I’ve definitely experienced the same issue with more Odd Globs of Wax being looted than counted by the quest.

Doesnt COUNT for ones you already had when picking up the quest. i myself havd 2k+ waxes in my bag when i get quest i just go dig 10 up
It’s pretty much this. You get one “credit” for each time you get more wax in your inventory - regardless of how much wax happens to be. So if you get one of the tougher mobs and it gives 5 or so wax, or that sack of loot you need to defend which I’ve seen give 9 (is 10 the maximum there?), that still only counts as one towards the quest.
This does mean there are some events that can yield multiple credits, such as the Gnoll running around throwing the stuff periodically (counts each time you catch one), the wax “volcano” (again one each catch), or the updraft with spores.

I had ZERO in my bags when I got the quest. again, this was not a “oh I have things in my bag” issue. I counted 8 drops but I only got credit for 6

Turns out you did not count 8 separate drops.
Out of curiosity, why are you hoarding them? He sells a bag of gold that give roughly 1.5k. Can also get things like reagants.
