Prio queue was what dropped with WOD when they hosted servers in Sydney. Bgs you most got seppos, 120 or so ping. Arena you mostly got local in trash tier ratings a few more seppos in higher rating areas

Well thereâs the reason you guys where split off of NA to begin with, specifically that you guys lag the hell out of NA games.
Absolutely not the same players.
Casuals that cried about this when we got region wide BGâs are the ones that arenât posting in here. Theyâve either quit or realised through all of BC they havenât queued one arena or bg

Worth mentioning as well that blizzard in their infinite wisdom decided to put us in with US East, rather than US West only like retail, which probably contributed in large part to the backlash.
Retail also has a preferential queue system that tries to match oce teams to other oce teams, and only widens the search scope after a period of 5 or so minutes have elapsed.
Oh, and oce-us games are ALWAYS played on us west servers. People have done traceroutes to confirm this

Exactly this. US West is fine. Please merge us for the sake of healthy arena come wotlk.
Thatâs hardly a fair situation. If they do it to get used to the ping, sure but to be there because itâs the only way to get queues is pretty much all the proof anyone needs to know the segregation was an error.
This is the retail system that has been in since warlords and it worked well.
