No one is forcing you to play with someone on the opposite side of the world, you’re agreeing to it when you queue up.
You act like this has only been happening for a few months… If you played the game you would understand this has been going on for years so your comment is irrelevant.
I mean it’s not like the distance between US and OCE suddenly grows everytime you join.

As an Oceanic player, I’d rather just play arenas with our region too
Surely between Australia / NZ / Singapore / Malaysia etc there would be enough players in total for queues
Random BGs can be mixed because they aren’t as intense, when I play with Americans I get around 150ms so no idea why some of the people here are getting such bad pings when grouped with us though, must be the way some of your internet providers tunnel their connection to Oce region?

I actually got an OCE game late last night and went 2-4 completely because of ping.
Doesn’t always happen, but I was at ~400ms the entire time. I would try to react with a CD at 50% hp and it would go off when I was at 5%.

And yet we spent the first decade plus of wow with Oce servers physically still in the US. It wasn’t until WoD that blizzard decided it might be a good idea to move the servers to the actual region. We played by default on 400ms.
Maybe you should do what we had to do: get better.
I appreciate the frustration this must have caused, but the fact is that no one should be forced into a match with 400ms.
Maybe you should focus more on solutions and less on self-victimization.

Just by what you typed I knew you had to be from Tichondrius.
If you’ve seen one Tich player you’ve seen them all.
I’ll contribute something productive. I’m 2550 in solo shuffle on disc priest with 130-180ms in 90% of matches while you’ve broken 2100 once on 14 alts.
Something tells me ping and OCE players isn’t what’s holding you back xoxo.

Yeah tbh I’d rather wait a little longer than get randomly paired with OCE players. I shoot up from 50-60 avg ms to over 200 easily. Playable? Kinda. But I’d rather not. It’s the worst when I want to que late night (east coast US) and get constantly put into these groups - but that’s often the only time I can play.
OCE region should be separate from US servers.
