Better PvP queue times for players on Oceanic realms.
we never really had issue with pvp queues -
Better Arena matchmaking for Oceanic players.
against american who has 30 pings, and we have 300 isnt a better arena matchmaking -
A much higher likelihood of Oceanic players being able to meaningfully compete for end-of-season rewards.
having 300ms latency really will give us higher chances getting gladiators
OCE should have their own bracket for Arena, and BGs.
revert this change.
the players that want to be competing in arena need the best latency they can get. It puts all that are not playing on their local server at a massive disadvantage.

Awful change, I’m sick of playing arena with a 180ms disadvantage and up to 230ms if you get east coast servers early in the morning.
I’ve spent the past 10 years quing with this MS and quit due to this, you never get aussie servers in the upper brackets of pvp and was excited to have oce only arena. I guess its time to unsub.

Don’t disadvantage OCE players. This and other recent decision making from blizzard for classic that is seemly increasingly erratic and rushed is going to hit your bottom line.

Yep, me and my whole pvp guild (Approx 500 members) will cease to play if this remains. Only reason I got back into WoW was OCE PVP Servers. Id rather wait 20+ Minutes then this half assed attempt at a resolution.

Please consider reverting this change. I truly feel this will damage PvP for Oceanic Players and the impact of this change is not worth the intended pay off. I understand the intent here from a developers point of view. But I feel that having every Oceanic PvP player having a poor connection in order to get an intended result of giving Oceanic PvP players more chances of receiving high end Arena rewards is not worth such a change.
I understand it was like this in real TBC. Oceanic players until Warlords of Draenor had 200-300 ping in World of Warcraft PvP instanced content for 10 years. But there is a big reason why a lot of people are generally upset at this move.
Having low ping in Classic WoW was a first time thing for Oceanic Players. In real Vanilla WoW, we didn’t have low ping. In real TBC, we didn’t have low ping either.
People were excited for TBC on Oceanic, especially the PvP community. People have been farming honor and marks, leveling new characters, paying for boosted character, leveling blood elf/draenei characters.
This change is really disappointing and poorly timed. Its a big let down for many people and has upset a lot of players.
Please consider a remedy to this change for a better outcome overall. People are obviously very upset and mad, but it is because they care about the game.
Suggested remedies:
- Simply revert the change made, understanding that every OCE player having lag isn’t worth the intended effect of the change
- Make a separate battlegroup for Oceanic players, with their own rewards system, even if queue times are long, OCE players have shown they don’t mind and prefer low latency
I wish I had more suggestions. But please Blizzard, listen to OCE players and try find a solution.
My brother is a big PvPer and leveled 5 characters to 60 in Classic WoW solely for PvP. He was very excited for PvP and Arenas in TBC. After reading this change, he has now lost all motivation to play and is quitting. When I discussed with him, he said the change is so bad, him and many of his PvP friends have all decided to quit entirely and not bother playing TBC at all. And this is depressing.
Please listen to the OCE community and try find a better outcome.

I’m on Arugal. BUT I’m in a AV right now and my ping has remained 10m throughout. Perhaps they have implemented something to keep us merged but low pings?
No the in-game ping just doesnt update. You’re on 200+
They don’t show world ping.
