Oceanic Realm PvP Q's dead (3 hour Q for non weekend BG)

Where are all these so called players that you mentioned would play bg’s on Oceanic realms? The forum has been closed for Oceanic Realms Broken - Merged with US Battlegroup (Lag)

1 hour Q’s. Where exactly are all these players you mentioned would play?

I think there were a few players who liked being the “top dogs” in their realm and they aren’t even playing pvp anymore too busy raiding…

I say bring back the merge. Even if we have high ping at least we can play… It’s better than this nonsense.

EDIT: "Well if it’s true that it is only a faction imbalance. Is this due to returning Horde players? What exactly is the cause of the sudden imbalance?

The q’s were fine when the servers were merged right before launch of TBC? In fact they were only 10-15 min per Q for any BG."

NA has one hour queues as well, the problem is horde overpopulation.

Good to know. Do you play on US servers? Just wondering where you are getting this information from?

Im horde on US servers, queues are one hour+ on average.

Just need to look at the servers people are on from thread after thread about hour long queues. It’s OCE and NA - they both seem to have roughly the same ratio.

I have no idea if it’s as bad in EU though.

You’re Horde; that’s what the Q’s are in the NA battllegoup also. I was just playing my UD rogue today; the problem is there are simply too many players horde side doing BG and not enough Alliance participation.

Merging NA and OCE will not fix the problem for ya because it’s the same problem here in NA.

I mean at the moment I am in a Q for EOTS and WSG for 2 hours 50 minutes with no pop. Surely the US doesn’t have that type of ridiculousness? There is no one Qing for it.

Played for pretty much all of last night, have since hitting 70 and will again when I get back from work, where were you? I guess you’re the problem.

WOW PVP has been trash for some time now, thanks Blizz did a great job making horde racials just a bit better then alliances.

Whole guilds went horde, alliance started sucking in PVP more players left to go horde cause better players on horde and so alliance started sucking more.

Losing 19 out of 20 BGs in a row gets old fast to the point I gave up on WOW PVP and from the sounds of it so did a lot of other people.

Unbalanced pvp is not fun.

If it’s not fun why do it.

Getting rolled by premade groups over and over is just not fun.

Enjoy your 2 hour queues there are other games to play that are actually fun play.

Blizz broke the game just to make extra $$ they knew people would transfer to horde for the better racials

Suggestion go try Final Fantasy 14 looks great so far. My wow sub runs out soon and could careless

After the outrage from the Oceanic community… I do not see Blizzard merging the regions again.

I agree sadly. I just wanted to find out if there was a legit reason for it other than some lazy excuse for horde imbalance.

Is that a lazy excuse though? It makes perfect sense to me.

As for not PvPing, maybe the alliance players are leveling slower due to the 70 horde constantly ganking us at Hellfire citadel?

It is a number of factors

  1. Average alliance player queues for bgs less so there is already an inbalance here.

  2. Some players already have all their Eots marks and so they have moved to AV as its better honor/time for farming (reducing the number of players further for specific bgs)

  3. Alliance miss the full premade days of early phase 2 in which organised alliance groups could reliably queue together resulting in much better win percents. Was not really an option as horde due to queue times.

  4. The number of issues with pvp (season 1 and season 2 arena items being purchased prior to arena season 1 even starting massive disparity between classic and tbc honor rates) soured alot of people from the early pvp which also hit the alliance hardest (I assume because they were barely interested before).

I sit in que for +1 hour BuT aTlEaSt I gOt MaH rAcIaLs!

You have a wrong perception of me. I couldn’t care less about my racials. I am playing horde because my mates all decided to play horde. I was planning on playing alliance.

Yea but unfortunately you are still a victim of min max tryharding. Most ppl dont care about anything else. So thats why you sit in queue for +1 hour

Arugal which has the majority of the OCE playbase, is showing a 60/40 split in favor of the Horde on Ironforge.pro. Since it uses WCL logs at its metric, PvE being something Alliance generally has a higher representation in, I imagine the split is even worse than that. Theres your answer.
