OCE isn’t big enough to sustain itself for Arena. The change was obviously made cause they checked on number of active players, I’d hope anyway. Anyone who pvp’d towards end of classic could see how bottom of the barrell it was, than at the start. It is inevitable this happens, for better or worse. It’s pretty much EXACTLY the same as it is on Retail.
Challenge yourself to be the best in NA, not just OCE.
Really appreciate this Blizzard, however, it does show consulting with the community with a drastic change like this might have been the smarter decision. <3

Oh well Blizzard will have their ‘I told you so’ moment in a couple months when the player base falls off and people are complaining on reddit once again about WANTING a merge.

It sometimes feels like the eager work experience kid is making decisions there for us without any supervision.
When it comes to gladiator titles just make it x% or minimum number to allow more Oce players to have access to it if it’s really an issue…?
Having the best of Oce and NA playing with good latency to n their own region also opens the door to an esport opportunity in witch the Oce gladiators and NA gladiators could compete in an arena championship after the completion of the season for some other title or reward. Being that up to that point they would not have played against each other would make for some really entertaining games to watch.

Regarding the the ranks and titles, who cares if the titles are just in the OCE region? If you’re the top team in the region then you’re the best of 100’s of thousands if not millions of players.
Why do I care if there are better players in other regions?
“bUt mUh pVp cOmMuNity” these will be the same people that queue 1 or 2 times a week and never touch it again. OCE population will reach a point where it can’t sustain itself anymore (see end of classic) and queues will be measured with the erosion of a stone by the wind
