Oceanic connecting to US servers

What about that post even makes a claim about how it works?

What do you know about how the internet works? Are you intimately familiar with the speed of light through fiberoptic lines as to estimate the top end pings?

Getting a ms of 10,000 is not an issue with Oceanic, it’s something else affecting you. I have never had that sort of ping that was not cause by either a game issue or a larger problem.

This.

if we connect to your realms that is the case, you connected to our realm bubs.

If you’re getting 10k latency connecting to anywhere closer than the moon, it’s a skill issue.

We have that every day we play if we are doing instanced activities that aren’t entirely populated by people on our own server. Anytime I do a TW lfg, for example - 90% of the time my world ms is 300+.

We live with it because the alternative is to not be grouped outside Oceanic and to deal with 2 hour long queues.

SO THATS WHY!!! I was wondering how the hell is my MS spiking so high it is very unplayable. please fix

I enjoy playing with OCE tbh. Most of the time chill gamers.

One of my favorite forumgoers is even OCE. :dracthyr_yay_animated:

Well, we have the same proportion of idiots in our population as anywhere, but only with less actual population, so you aren’t as like to meet so many of them at one time.

Unless we are talking Frostmourne of course. Lots of weirdos on that server… :sunglasses:

Idiots who don’t sperg in Americanese at me better than idiots that do tbh.

But yeah true

That’s biased.

“I don’t want to lagg - THEY should be the ones to lagg!”

Like, what a narcissistic take.
It goes both ways, OCE don’t like it when US are leaders because the situation’s reversed. Welcome to how OCE usually feel. :upside_down_face:

Honestly I’d go so far as to say to give us an option in network that when checked just won’t queue you into the other regions. I know it’ll murder queue times but I also don’t really care.

way to entirely miss the very obvious joke

This kinda doesn’t make any sense with what you’re saying here. Also, your ms getting yeeted up to 10k sounds like it’s something else here. I’m also an Australian who is playing on US servers and constantly sits around 200-250ms, which is extremely playable.

Someone just outed themselves as having very poor comprehension skills.

Same here oddly. I could always run with an OCE group, and get slightly higher latency. This season it is impossible to run with an OCE group, ms goes over 600 pretty quickly.

There has been insane lag at least in M+ recently, I don’t know if raiders get it too. Mainly huge lag spikes of 3-10 seconds where nothing happens and then a bunch of stuff happens at the end (I just rapture during these hoping we don’t all die lol). I don’t blame OCE for this. In fact we still got lag spikes as a full group of people in the same room (well 3 of 5 same room, all 5 NA) on good computers and GB/s internet. So definitely something on the Blizzard/server side of things.

They’d rather not play with you either tbh. I think blizz linked them because otherwise alliance NA would never be able to clear a raid lol.

I know, I’m OCE

Last week I went into a normal raid and after like 5 bosses I jumped up to 15,000ms and it took a lot of resetting and button pushing to get back to normal ping

Just half an hour ago I tried to play with one of my friends from NA and his ping jumped up to 600ms in valdrakken and even after dropping group and relogging he was unable to return to NA.

Never usually have these problems though.

Cool…like I care.
