Based on somebody playing only on Penance, Option 1 please. I don’t have a strong enough opinion on option 3 and there seems to already be plenty of discussion here from those impacted by that option.
However, addressing the idea to open up transfers from Penance to Shadowstrike that a couple of people have floated:
I very much doubt anybody currently left on Penance would consider Shadowstrike a viable transfer option. Anybody still willing to suffer out the miniscule server population of Penance are there because they despise open-world pvp. Anybody who is willing to tolerate pvp for a healthier server population would have left for Shadowstrike ages ago.
I mean you can keep spamming forums but its not gonna change what the overwhelming majority want when there’s a handful of players with 600 posts lol…
Good luck though its a lose lose for you even if they open transfers it kills all of oceanic and your stuck on higher latency as a bonus prize you might not even get oceanic servers in the future.
For me personally its a win win the transfers have been stopped so im happy if they re open i still stay on shadowstrike and raid if that becomes impossible (it wont) then ill quit the game and unsub just like i did in season of mastery because of blizzards incompetence.
It’s a lose lose for everyone. We can’t magic people back onto our servers. So it’s either stay or leave. Both options suck. But most people agree that they would prefer to leave. That’s really what server transfers boil down to.
If this is the case and it comes down to an AI bot looking at key words to compile a baseline of statistics then everyone had better clearly state their preference and then go on their personal rant.
I’m for option 3 my compassion for my fellow prisoners makes it so.
(but option 1 is fine too, just saying )
It’s also funny listening to vocal minorities from penance (dead oce server) try to say they are the overhwhelming majority when
a) most aren’t even playing on oce anymore they re rolled
b) there server is 4-5 x smaller than shadowstrike
Here’s a great suggestion if you think you are the majority and most people want transfers ask blizzard to open an official poll or send a survey to all oceanic accounts and ask the xyz questions above.
Then let them decide based on that survey.
Then you can’t cry when the overwhelming majority decide they want to stay on shadowstrike.

We will be taking the transfer to Wild Growth and playing future phases on a server with a sustainable population, and this is with our entire raid teams moving together. We have tested the ping and will deal with this to play on a viable server for the rest of the season.
