OCE players, which server

which server are OCE players mainly playing on now that maladath is very low pop.

Dreamscythe being located in USW offers better ping but unfortunately its a PVE server.

Nightslayer while being a PVP server is significantly higher ping for me so im really torn with the choice.

Switched from Maladath to Dreamscythe and honestly super happy I did. Lots of AUS/SE Asia guilds around, so finding a guild is easy.

First time in 20 years playing on a PvE server, and now I regret not trying it earlier.

With work and kids, gaming time is limited, so it’s been great not having to corpse-run constantly while leveling.

Most of the oce playerbase are on maladath just a small group who don’t understand how latency works play on NA.

DS if you want low ping

NS if you want a better arena population

Both have a much larger OCE playerbase than maladath

OP do not listen to Elron.

He/she/they/them have some serious mental health issues.

The vast vast vast majority of OCE is on NS/DS. Maladath is completely dead.

NS is so busy I can play at any time of the day and do all content, any time, with a mix of people from around the world.

Do not waste your time on Maladath.

For real, I’ve never seen someone as delusional as them before

It’s funny watching these clowns try to hate on oceanic because they can’t kill it with transfers.

Oceanic is always going to have a smaller population than NA that’s never going to change the server is completely viable to play on there’s 15+ guilds which have full cleared naxx 15/15 and the auction house is still alive and active without issue.

Only takes a few seconds to check warcraft logs progress for oceanic to see that is fact.

These people are intentionally trying to kill a region because they are malicious there’s more oceanic players on maladath than any other server because it is the oceanic server …..

I’ve been on the server since day 1 and have raided all content without any issues ofcourse if your only looking for the most populated laggy server then yes NA will have far more lag bots and people if that’s your thing.

I didn’t have to do that either, maybe a handful of times when levelling because Maladath is so dead

Elron is a fervent advocate of oceanic servers, he’s not wro g but the people who say Maladath is dead aren’t wrong either.

I looked into DS and NS a little when my previous guild called it quits. They both have fewer raids logged in ANZ timezones than Maladath. If you’re willing to flex outside the 7.30-8.00 timezone for raid start, that opens up more options.

What you do get there is a better late phase levelling experience, more people around and higher latency.

Maladath’s levelling experience was great at the start when everyone was levelling. We’re in phase 6 now, the core population is done with the levelling phase, you can’t expect a buzzing levelling scene at the end of an expansion with a total population under 2000.

What you do get on Maladath is a bunch of raid guilds in ANZ timezones and yes, there are fewer now than when we started because people always drop out along the way.

Personally, I don’t know how things will play out. I hope it picks up with TBC but it will follow the same trend, lots of activity early on then feeling emptier and emptier as people lose interest and quit. If the starting point can be similar to vanilla, it’s fine, enough people remain to go to naxx if you want to.

I suspect Maladath is the best choice if you want to raid in ANZ timezones, it seems to have more choice and that should get better with groups shrinking to 25. If you’re not going to raid and want a world that feels populated through the WHOLE run of TBC, go to a US server.

Yes the guy that spam gaslights in gdkp threads definitely has players best interests at heart and not his own :joy:

As everyone else knows, maladath is done

I live in Brisbane, have been on Whitemane since March 2023 and rolled Nightslayer off the rip. Exitlag helps, I’m usually on 160-170ms on Whitemane and 200 on Nightslayer. These are the two correct servers to play on if you’re playing Era/Anni.

Northside rep

NS horde if you wanna play with the highest regarded member of the community.

Is in your own region on 5-30ms at most without having to pay a seperate sub for a vpn just to make the game playable.

But then you have to play with Australians :face_vomiting:

Don’t u wanna play with me? I am very skilled player.

East here

You are an australian.

Yeah I know. What’s your point? Most Australians are terrible at the game
