Where in there does it say that a character is not eligible just because you didn’t log into a main first? Oh, weird, it doesn’t. So I think it’s less the community misunderstanding, and ACTIVISION Blizzard not telling us what we were supposed to do. Thus, screwing us out of echoes, and replying “sorry” on twitter.

You’re trying way too hard to be smug here and just making yourself look stupid by misunderstanding what legitimately everyone here is saying.
People comprehended just fine - characters that are eligible aren’t receiving the currency because people didn’t log in to the main that earned them first.

How about you rectify your garbage by giving us the dang echoes we earned and missed out on because you decided to use a system that isn’t a currency you just get.
Seriously, there is no other currency in the game that you don’t get if you don’t need it. FIX. IT.

How come Island Expeditions aren’t on the list of activities that reward the new echoes/currency?
This will essentially further discourage players from engaging in Island Expeditions…

I blame the coronavirus for me being required to “work” remote this week. Usually I’d be solid too.
I will take the compromise but still want Account Wide Essences.
This is just another grind in an expac already way too full of them.

Couldn’t have said it better. Why not make it account wide and done. Why are they adding yet another grind? More time-sinks make Blizz happy but upset most players?

I thought a “fair compromise” if one needed to be made would be for you to just be able to grind currency and buy the rank 3s regardless of what your alts have. The expansion is over blizz just let us play the game.

There was no need to add another currency. You guys have a real problem with making no-brainer decisions that the vast majority of the playerbase want, all because you refuse to admit that you made a mistake. Get over it.

Relatively, you could get about 2.5 - 3 R3s worth of currency a week. While the system is very fair…I think we are running into a similar issue with the 7.3.5 Legendary system from Legion (too little too late).
Combine it with the lack of clarity on logging in on your main first to register your R3s prior to doing anything on alts seems garring.

Except we WERE eligible. I have a rank 3, I have a rank 4. I have several rank 3s on other characters.
This is Blizzard’s screw up and they’d best fix it.
