Yeah this a giant screw up on their part. The character I 1st logged into wasn’t my most advanced but was still eligible with 4 rank 3 essences, but I didn’t get any of the currency in my chest. The incompetence here is legendary at this point, and they just refuse to do anything about it. Just double down on their own pig headedness.

Apparently.
This should be hotfixed to require any essence to unlock other role essences on account, just like Nazjatar/Rustbolt essences.

Exactly. This toon I’m posting on had 1 rank 3 essence before opening the M+ cache. So why did I not receive echoes. NOT MY MESS UP.

I did do this. I logged on this character who has visions rank 3 and I received zero echoes for doing 2 emissaries and opening my M+ cache.

I have r3s on four different characters.
I’m basically being punished for not cycling them before opening a chest. Because there’s an elgibility requirement on a danged currency.
This is just a huge colossal screwup and blizzard’s refusing to fix it.

I just opened by weekly M+ chest on this character (who has r3 essences) and got none of the new currency. Is this working as intended?

sir, your math is way off, 450 per week is the more close number for a low geared character, and is more time per chatacter, ignoring the time and RNG of gear, corruption and azerite armor
The same thing happened to me with a few of my alts, I think you had to have logged on the character with the most rank 3 essences on your account to unlock it. These “professionals” at blizzard are genuinely terrible at their jobs, they should be ashamed of the quality of the product and their customer service they are putting out.
