Obsidian Worldbreaker is underwhelming!

First things first, I do agree on the awesome model that is exactly Deathwing alike, down to the specifics of the thigh armor being only on his right thigh, but i feel his armor should be darkish grey instead of a brighter hue.

That aside, what truly makes this mount underwhelming is the lack of glow, or special effects. Even the 10th anniversary core hound has that dripping lava effect. I would suggest this mount have that same dripping lava effect, that is already on the Smoldering Ember Wyrm (the time trial mount from karazhan), you do not need to even create a new effect, just replicate it since another mount has it! Furthermore, they share the same animation!

Second suggestion would be to have the mount bear extra effects, like smoldering wings with smoke trails, so we can fly around feeling like we are in the cataclysm cinematics! The netherwing drakes or ashes of al’ar that we grinded could be a starting point of how the wings aura could look like!

Lastly, us players would appreciate a better /mountspecial effect, instead just roaring like regular drakes and have a deeper roar, maybe you guys can retain the same animation, but have him spit fire! A little like the Deathy pet! Thats all i ask for blizzard, PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

TL;DR: Have more smoldering glow or special effects to make Deathwing feel more like he shall really TEAR THIS WORLD APART!

I think it’s a little small. It needs to be a little bigger. Compared to say the Drake of the NSEW Winds it’s smaller.

That kills all critters in a 30 degree cone for 10 yards in front of the mount.

Deathwing could kill a zone on flyover… but the deathwing mount can’t even kill a critter?

Opportunity must be a jedi and blizz are stormtroopers.

Do not get me wrong! I’m happy we get a Deathwing at all too! Just that i was hoping we would appreciate something extra!

I find it underwhelming because I don’t have any of the Pathfinder so I really don’t have much use for it.

if you cant differentiate glow and shine, go back to school (but if you’re still in school then study hard!)

Although I am happy with him as is, I do wish he were a bit bigger. He seems a little small, except with my blood elf. He’s cool though, a new favorite for sure!

I generally like the mount the only problem I have with it is that the knees of the back legs clip through the front legs when it is standing. Little things like that bug me.

I don’t like how a lot of mounts don’t scale including this one. Looks like adults on those children’s coin machine rides. The little rocket thing that goes back and forth, lol. Need scaling mounts.

Something like this was always a dream mount of mine and I finally have it. This is easily in the top 5 favorites in my collection. My only wish was it would do an occasional roll like the Chimaera mounts do when they fly since Deathwing tries to roll you while you’re on his back during the Spine encounter.

It is weird how some mounts scale and some don’t. My panda and KT looks ridiculous on this mount, but my belfs and humans look fine. /shrug

Yes I agree, it should be slightly bigger than the basic dragon mounts.

Yeah my only complaint is it’s too small… :woman_shrugging:
