I’ve seen 2 rogues burn East and West tower. There is not a 0% chance a 5 man team takes a tower or GY.
Galv can work in some situations, but not the situation we are talking about: a 5 man team, completely isolated. I don’t care how amazing your tank is. It’s very easy to land an interrupt on the healer and then focus damage into the tank while the healer is locked out. If I’ve seen it once, I’ve seen it 100 times.
I can tell you right now, as a horde playing defense, I know where I would rather encounter a 5 man alliance team - on Galv.
You really don’t understand what an amazing defensive position horde buildings give to people inside them. You will not be getting at a healer without making it past 3 dps players and if by some miracle you do kick him, Galv can be stunned or disarmed reducing his out put to all of like, 100dps. So its you attempting to burst a tank down in what, 10 seconds? While being focused by four players? I’d love to see you manage that against any capable team.
Yeah, maybe 5 months ago before horde started playing full scorched earth. I’d love to see you get a friend and try it today though.
Good luck getting around the LoS safely while 3 people are training you and still being in a position to blow up the tank whos got 6k hp and no other incoming damage.
Galv isn’t guarded by a boss. He is the boss. Every other objective is guarded by a boss, save E/W frostwolf towers, but those are at the horde recall point.
Do you know if they ever release a patch for AV to stop both factions from rezing at their caves unless they control no graveyard? Was that ever implemented?
I submitted a bug report on the bug report forums though about cave respawn behavior, as I do believe rezzing at the horde cave instead of FWGY is incorrect, and rezzing at the Alliance cave instead of the AS is wrong as well. I have a hunch that “home turf” GYs should be taking precedent over the cave, but currently it seems they aren’t. Hopefully Blizz will look into it.
