Observation:

Dragon flying and being able to gather while mounted is not a combo.

Eh… its technically faster, but harder to do.

Be Dracthyr, the initial take off doesn’t consume any Vigor.

What Jer said: Dracthyr are now better than Druids for gathering. We get a free takeoff.

laughs in druid flight form

It used to be baseline to dragonflying tree, but I think it’s in each gathering tree now that collecting a node increases vigor regen.

You’re inferior to Dracthyr now. We get a zero vigor takeoff. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s fine, much quicker if you’re smart with vigor. Oh that rhymed!

I use Soar a lot on this character but rarely for gathering in TWW; the herb perk to let you stay mounted is more useful than having to keep initiating Soar imo.

Druids still have it better than us… or just anyone. :dracthyr_lulmao:

With the concentration of herbs in DF and TWW, I think it’s actually more efficient to use old flying with the goblin shredder mounts.

Back when I was herbing in S2 DF for the new mushrooms, I was doing just fine with dragonriding and herbing. I just had to get good at using aerial halt right before I landed to get the vigor back.

Once you got that down, it wasn’t an issue. I still do the same thing for wax piles this expansion.

Hard disagree. I’ve been herbing on my Druid and Dracthyr both during DF and War Within.

Dracthyr is superior for gathering.

To be honest I just dislike how Soar has a cast bar; but I’m lazy and pushing an extra button while gathering apparently annoys me. Hence why often on my Evoker, I will instead use a mount (no dismount herb perk) when gathering.

You get vigor from gathering.

I haven’t really farmed herbs and whatnot but for me old school flying is best for gathering. Don’t have to waste time with vigor and don’t have to worry about precision flying.

Would take ground mount speed over looking like that tbh

Why not? It’s faster than gathering with normal flying.

Especially with the built in perception bonus.

Druid is still the best if you know how to manage your vigor, which doesn’t take that long to learn but you are going to have to pay slightly more attention so it really comes down to what else you like to be doing while you gather.

What it’s worth I’ll dragon fly to a packed area, gather then walk mounted to the next node

There are no reasons to need to compare Druid/Dracthyr in this both are pretty darn good in their own ways.

I just cant play draktyr until they either get more transmog options or get tauren as a visage that one can stay in during combat.

I dont like their elf and human visage choices.
