Oblivion orbs on Master Machinist needs to be review

So many times it overlaps with the square block in the middle and orbs just get soak by the boss.

WTF are we suppose to do?

5 palis. Alternate using bubble to grab the bad overlaps. Boom! Problem solved!

is very hard to understand how blizzard didn’t see this as an obvious problem when designing this affix.

Dawnbreaker first boss frequently gets orbs during beams when you dont have someone that can immune to run through one. Fortunately outside of the tank buster she doesn’t hit very hard as you can pre-run out of her circles. Grim batol last boss during the circle mechanic is also a nightmare as his hitbox takes up half the available space so even if a tank is paying attention it can be difficult, same can be said for GB first boss.

There are a few bosses that the Orbs just don’t work well on.

First boss CoT, Second Boss and Last boss Ara can be a problem, Twins in SV, Third and last boss of SoB, First boss of Dawn, First and last boss of GB can also be a bit of a problem.

While, yes, they are doable, it does present a problem if timing overlaps with area denial.

Dorito got 7 stacks in our run last night. Orbs spawned right as he swooped away to the middle. Wasn’t even time to blink between the spawn and the collection.

Felt very ungood.

Simple fix would be to have the orbs not move during boss mechanics.

Or:

  1. have the CD for the orbs just being when they can spawn
  2. make it so they don’t overlap with key mechanics

Like if a mechanic is coming up that makes orbs hard, if not impossible, to do, wait till after the mechanic (or at least as it is winding down) for orbs to spawn.

Another fix could just be something like non-boss mobs gain 10% per orb, bosses gain 5% per orb, so it still hurts if bosses get them but it is not as punishing if they do.
