Objectively speaking what tank has the most raw survivability?

Just my two cents…buy MY experience WAS that prot Warrior WAS the best but then they changed Ignore Pain enough that it doesnt feel as sturdy.
NOW my go to tank is BM monk. As long as youre using your brews and mitigation its pretty stout.

I probably should have, but I geared it up late in the tier and our strats were locked down by the time it was ready to go.

Oh crazy so when I said

And you said I was wrong, I was actually right. Weird.

I started late. There was plenty of time, I just started on it when we were already like 4/8M (pre-Ashvane nerfs).

I even wrote as much in my post :

Oh there was plenty of time to get all rank 3 essences, grind Benthic, and 60 neck before Mythic week. Weird how Method/Limit played 16 hours a day and barely got it in time on 1 character. But you could have done it on 2.

Paladin can do mythic keys and some raid bosses solo.

You didn’t need all that gear to beat out the first few bosses.

Method/Limit raid most of the time, they still have Heroic week 1 alts ready for split runs. Really bad example. Those guys can get multiple Alts ready week 1 for splits, and have a massive a raid schedule.

Really awful example on your part. It’s fine to be wrong you know.

???

Ok i gotta ask, what the hell is split raiding?

Ive not paid much attention to it because it doesn’t affect me any, but what exactly is it?

Running only a few mains with a bunch of alts, funneling as much gear as possible to the mains.

It’s been made harder to pull off because of PL only, but it’s still doable.

Nope.

If the question is

Then the correct answer is Blood DK.

Yep.

I kinda wish Blood DK’s had Resolve back.

Getting an alt ready for splits and having an alt ready for late Mythic progression are two different things. Their alts are just there to trade Azerite, trinkets and weapons. Not have rank 3 essences, maxed out socketed Benthic, and 60 necks. Thinking being ready for heroic splits = being ready to pull in for Mythic Azshara is a bad example.

You haven’t even killed Azshara yet, you’re telling me you struggle to have alts at that level at this point ?

Those alts day 1 are able to full clear Heroic. If they didn’t have a full time raid schedule, they could have them up to speed pretty quickly.

It takes about 3-4 weeks to get an alt basically done with Essences/Neck. That’s pretty short.

Are you arguing it’s hard to get an alt up to the 440s with Rank 3s ?

I mean I raid 5 hours a week lol. You prob raid more in 2 weeks than I raid in a month.

Now it does, sure. But at the beginning of the tier it absolutely did not.

Considering we’re down to mostly 1 night clears of EP, probably not. I wouldn’t include our double BoD Mythic clear for mounts as actual “raid” time.

AK has been maxxed for a long time.

Looks like during progression you guys were raiding well over 10 hours a week and sometimes even 4 nights a week! Oh and grats on your azshara kill, you did half your brewmasters damage and somehow had more damage taken than him? Holy christ…

Are you counting our Heroic optional night ?

I took more damage than him, hence I had to wear actual defensive gear. That’s what happens when you don’t massively overgear the fight. Not to mention our tank timings have him have simply higher target uptime than I do.

No, I see you pulled M Azshara 4 different days in a week.

You were 444 equipped? Same as pretty much everyone else proging Azshara right now, but nice try. Maybe if you LoS’d more shield breaks you coulda taken less dmg. You get hit by every one. And you take over 1m damage from pools on the ground. Huge yikes man. Brewmaster isn’t OP, you just aren’t playing the fights correctly.

Yes, near the kill we turned our heroic optional night into an actual raid night because as we started clearing heroic, we noticed that we had all 20 people in the group.

That one was off the cuff.

Ilvl must be everything.

And pull Azshara to the raid ? Nice plan. I’ll be sure to wipe our group.
