Objectively speaking what tank has the most raw survivability?

I think external healing required has to be in the mix though. BDK will need almost 0 external healing next tier outside of beacon.

Theroblem is healing counts only after the fact, not before it.
It can’t do anything if you’re dead.

Well if DK needs the least amount of help then I assume its harder to play?

Paladin needs healer the least but at some cost.

What cost?

I can confirm that this is 100% false in Mythic.

Mythic raid? Of course it needs a healer.
Mythic +? Thre are videos of it accomplishing it without a healer for some high keys.
Mind you, I said it needs a healer theleast, not that it does not need a healer.

No cooldowns means its one of the squishiest tanks, and unlike BDK, it does not have ahuge self sustain to make up for it.

It’s not harder to play really, but it’s definitely harder for your healers to play around. If you see a BDK with runes and over 60 RP, they literally have 0 chance of dying. Even if they get to 20% hp they won’t die unless they are AFK. That’s hard for some healers to play around because they see a low health bar and spam which means death strike overheals and the healing/mana is wasted.

this is so true.
I get so angry about it

Oh wow. That sounds horrible. How often does that happen?

In 99.9% of raid groups with a Blood DK tank. If Method/Limit run a BDK in the next raid tier you’ll see their healers pretty much ignore them unless they call that they need help. Outside of the best of the best guilds, overhealing BDK’s is extremely common.

Which is worse for the DK because that means if they DS they waste their RP.
Mana isn’t such a bad thing but RP is harder to generate.

Yikes. I might try Pally then before I try DK if I decide to tank in the long run.

I mean don’t get me wrong i love Vengeance DH it’s fun as all hell and feels super strong like 90% of the time, but there are times when I feel like despite the fact i am nailing my cooldowns and my rotation i am still taking an enormous beating. Especially when burst damage is involved.

gonna be a party pooper real quick here: this is 100% subjective. If it wasn’t for havoc, my DH would still be at 110.

I don’t see how anyone wouldn’t consider it fun considering how it works, but yeah everyone is entitled to their opinions.

Getting repeatedly one-shot by certain boss mechanics unless you and your healers are all completely on fricking point is frustrating.

Veng tanking bosses like Fetid Devourer as a back-up tank on progression runs was… interesting.
And painful.

The DH class was designed around the artifact weapons… and it shows, especially with Veng.

Well, first off it depends on the race, as they all sort of have their own way to channel the mystic martial arts.

Secondly no, not really. Each spec has very different animations on monk for their primary tools.

Though you’ll be throwing a barrel and breathing fire a lot, so if you don’t like that, then no, you won’t like it.

Druids are literally a beast they have a natural armor rating that triples once in animal form and a dang near 50% absorb/damage mitigation ability for most melee not to say they aren’t killable but pretty dang close for a class only wearing leather and no shield

Technically, Brewmaster as of this patch. The spec is basically immune to getting one-shot and has a ton of utility, mobility, and mitigation+self-healing to go with it.

That’s Legion DH, saying it has the most survivability is like me saying Guardian has the most survivability based on Emerald Nightmare.
