So ya… I’m 12/12 Heroic and I can honestly say LFR N’Zoth is far harder than Heroic N’Zoth because of the sheer incompetency in LFR players.
Here is how you could nerf it in such a way that it wont take hours and 10 determination stacks to kill.
1: Remove the insanity bar and HoA button… So ya 3 pulls every single person but me got mind controlled because no one used the extra action button but me… and had to tell them where it was and to use it. Most still didn’t by the 5th pull.
2: Have everyone go into the realm after dealing with the tentacles… Organize people have 1 healer per a group. Say groups 1 3 and 5 need to go down, thats 15 people. Only 6 go down and wipe. Just have the whole raid be teleported down. Also on that note most players can’t seem to click their bodies so have that happen automatically.
Do both of those things and pugging LFR N’Zoth to finish the quest won’t be as hard as a premade group Heroic N’Zoth fight.
Might as well remove the soccer balls on Xanash then…
And honestly, the only time you should lose sanity is when you go into the mindgates. The only mechanic I recommend removing for LFR is paraonia.
You do know that more tentacles spawn throughout phase 2 right? And they continue to spawn until either Psychus enrages (at which point 4 crushers will spawn) or you kill Psychus. Are you sure you are 12/12 heroic? Because you would’ve known that since you can’t go down twice in heroic.
Clearly reading is not one of your strongest aspects. My comment about heroic was to see if you understood a key mechanic that is present on ALL difficulties. Which is that tentacles in phase 2 continue to spawn until either one of 2 things are met.
Psychus enrages, at which point he stops taking damage and 4 crushers spawn
Psychus dies.
So they would have to make it so a finite number of aids spawn on LFR then do the mindgate for your idea to work.
A far better solution would have the mindgate just randomly teleport half the group down like they did with Bwonsamdi during Phase 3 of King Rastakhan on LFR.
I am against removing core mechanics of a boss for LFR.
Reason why I hated Vari on LFR ABT. He was basically a tank training dummy.
Yes I do know. And your posts are filled with aggressive jabs for no apparent reason.
Only reason why I ventured into LFR was from a dare and all of the forum complaints. I really don’t care for LFR other than to finish the kill quest on alts. I’ve got multiple 120’s one of each class.
Really they should remove LFR. Have a Solo scripted strategy with related NPC’s to the story like the many scenarios we see and have to do, where you have to do X, Y, and Z like stand there or press A. That way there people see the story that happens in the raid and can get their kill quest on their alts.
The thing is its so hard to get incompetent LFR players to do just 1 mechanic let alone multiple.
That is something that is present to more than just people who only raid LFR.
I mean look at all the people who complain about not being told something by blizzard, even though blizzard wrote blog posts and / or posted it in the hotfix notes months ago.
Oh and don’t get me started on when half of the group aren’t English speakers thats a wipe in itself.
No one reads, no one listens.
I was tanking on my 457 DK to finish the quest. I got raid lead. I arranged all of the groups so I was in group 1 and the other tank was in group 2. There were 5 healers I put one in each group. I made sure in chat to tell everyone who was in what group and that those in groups 1, 3 and 5 were to follow me (I marked myself) to go down into the Psycus phase and 2 and 4 where to follow the other tank (also marked).
So first 3 pulls no one but me used their HoA extra action button. Next few pulls only 6 of the other 14 people in groups 1 3 and 5 went down. At pull 6 had to reorganize groups because of people leaving, explain it all again. Repeat.
The difficulty is the fact that when you have more than 1 mechanic to do LFR people freeze up and won’t read how to do it in the guide or listen to the raid chat. Thus leading to 10 determination stacks and hours of wipes.
The only way for LFR to exist is for there to be 1 mechanic per phase. More than that and LFR people hoping for free loot will continually screw up.
Ya they aren’t elite jerks when they are like me, explain in depth what you do phase by phase, to use the extra action bar. Organize the raid groups and to say groups 1 3 and 5 follow the marked player to go down and deal with Pyscus the others stay up and kill tentacles. Then no one reads and doesn’t use the extra action button.
Most of them aren’t in their for gear at all. We go in for the 125 echos and/or to do the kill quest for 3000 AP. The loot is vendor trash or to be disenchanted.
Then if you leave after the first wipe you forfit this for the week… I can’t even tell you how many times I see a wipe, 10 people leave then we get a kill with the 10 new people. To me that almost says “Oh the elitist people were the lazy ones. Glad we for better replacements.”
Deserter buff is good enough. They aren’t even their for the loot where they are usually 460+ ilvl and just their for the echos for corruption.
Also a I’ve noticed a bunch of people who do leave barely meet the ilvl requirements or are hardly doing any DPS. So not all that leave are “elitists”.
Even I see this a lot more these days. They believe that because they are fully mythic geared they can tunnel the boss and ignore mechanics. However in going so, the group wipes and they either leave, or blame everyone else for the wipe, even though everyone else is doing mechanics.
And if you point out they were just tunneling the boss, they think their mythic kills or even CE " gives me a free pass to ignore mechanics".
Can testify that in doing M+ I’ve seen alot of people in full Mythic raid gear or +15 gear who don’t know how to play their class because they have been boosted. Thats another thing to keep in mind is they may have payed with gold or IRL to get all of their gear.
