N'Zoth, Calia, Sylvanus, Wrathion and Nyalotha - The Paths are all entwined

rexxar, is that you?
i mean, what do you mean with atrocities to her own faction?

okay so sylvanas sending “her troops” to nazjatar to be captured and tortured, and sacrificed by the naga isn’t some sort of atrocity right?

Alright lets compare “artrocities”

-attempting genocide in a direct response to her city being nuked.
-responsible for the deaths of some civillians during the purge at the hands of the silver covenant after being betrayed by the sunreavers.

-cold blood murdered of humans in lordaeron
-smirks as a woman gets melted witht blight
-invade a country and throws blight to a city because the defenders were resisting too much
-invade another country and kill countless innocents guards and civilians with fire
-kill her own troops with blight
-sends troops to literally kill childs and their parents in front of them and these troops torture for fun
-having deathcamps of captured nelfs in darkshore.
-raise and torture a corpse in the hopes of turn him into a weapon, just like arthas.
and of course she killing her own people in arathi.

and i am sure that i am mising some.
There is no redemption.

Do you have a quote on this?

blizzard said many things, but giving past record, i wouln’t trust too much in them, like the last time they said that gilnean heritage will be at 8.2.5
and of course the compilation of their lies.

i hear that they said that they won’t be doing a garrosh 2.0 but never that “sylvanas redeeming herself” only that “she will not die yet”.

It was mentioned during Blizzcon actually last year along with the discussion about how Slyvanus has a lot more to her story line that we are yet to even see. The key line was the part where they said ultimately her storyline and it’s conclusion will make Garrosh seem like a rank novice or amateur by comparison… So her ultimate path has something which far more significant than anything Garrosh ever did in his. So you can assume whatever it that story line is it’s something that is world changing and could change the course of World of Warcraft for ever…

Here is the quote about her storyline and not being a raid boss conclusion:

Sylvanas’ Future:
Sylvanas is a beloved character by the playerbase and the developerbase. Players will have to wait and see what Sylvanas’ fate will be.

"Sylvanas’ destiny is to be found out and discussed by the player base, but it would be dismissive to think she’ll just go down as another raid boss, because she’s a little bit more than that.

“Does that mean you will not fight her?” he added. “Not necessarily true either. The reality is you can fight her every day of the week in Grommash Hold, in a raid, right now. But I do think there’s a lot more to Sylvanas’ story that hasn’t been told yet.”

Ah another sylvanas is the ultimate good guy thread

At no point did I say she was a good guy she is is actually neither.

She is just impassive and driven by her one true goal which makes her seem to be unemotional and calculated.

She in essence is both at the same time like many of the main characters in wow they walk a line of Tilting moral codes effectively swinging between Good and Evil you could say or maybe we could say Light and Dark which in turn means the struggles between the Elunes supposed light and the unknown entity that actually really controls the void… We do not have any idea about this and it’s something that does remain a unknown and very pivotal plot element… Who does actually have the opposing balance in terms of Void because Death and Shadow and just pocket realms by comparison to the Infinite Void…

Everyone is playing the game of two all powerful entities one was given a name and worshipped by NE’s and the other is just known as the Infinite Void… So where did it ever say Light was good and Void was bad or inversely Light is Bad and Void is Good…

That is the Pendulum which all the characters and swinging on

Elune isnt just connected to the light she is connected to more or less everything but fel so you are kind of wrong there elune has cinnevtion to light arcane death and nature spheres along we ith possable void connections

Sylvanas gosl is to stay out of hell screw everyone else. On the point if sll undead going to hell that has yet to be proven that ssid hell isnt just for you know bad people as the only other person there is arthas while we have seen souks freed from the undead acced into the light.

It seems to me you are just trying to make it sd o sylvanas isnt evil that everything she has done is ultimatly good as nd the best path. She is evil it is ssd but true blizz screwed her over big time.

Plot twist elune told sylvanas to burn the tree.

Well that is just about the only way to absolve her i guess

Well we know through information and events in terms of the Blade of the Black Empire that in actual fact the Light and the Void are connected and essentially the Void is actually Light which has changed to instead absorb all light…so it’s the place of no light.

This definitely could be a case that knowing that Light actually does eventually succumb to the madness and become void so become the exact opposite of everything we are told the light is about.

The void can be returned to the light through the absorption of a lot of blood (Life Essence) so actually causing death to return to the light…

Think about that the Infinite Void is just using the realms of the dead as a means to an end of returning itself back to the light. Only to once again have some of it succumb to the Void and repeat this all over again… and again drawing in any thing that has Life essences to return itself back to the light.

So if not Elune could it have been one of the Naaru or other beings of light who in the process of falling to the void played a part in the events that took place.

I understand that Elune is many things but we also see that there have been visions and even scenes in other realms and planes that show Elune in very different states and even one from memory that actually show’s Elune with what appears to be shadowy old god like tentacles as coming from her…

Shadowy and old god makes you think N’Zoth and we know that N’Zoth was able to somehow be in various different places in some form or another even if it was just his voice… So was he really trapped as we thought and did we really actually release him or was this something else once again?

IMHO I think we are going to see something that essentially means that N’Zoth has been twisting Elune and actually corrupting her for some grand scheme.

Could this be the reason for the destruction of the World Tree and the beacon of Life?

That all being said I honestly think it’s far easier to understand the motives and actions Sylvanus takes… What was the one force that effects changes that makes changes unfolding events to create the impossible… Oh yeah it’s LIGHT…

Was the actions of Sylvanus and the burning of the World Tree a way for her to ensure she weakens the lights reach and the abilities of the Light Gods to change something and prevent her current course of action.

So really it was a method to ensure that the ability of Light couldn’t be utilized to disrupt the steps of death and prevent her for completing what she has been trying to do all along.

You sound like pyromancer next you will say the pantheon imprisoned azeroth and the void was made by argus. I get it you dont want sylvanas to be evil or the bad guy you want her to have done reason beyond herself to have done what she did

I suggest you go back and go through what Xal’atath tells us exactly about the process to return to the light…

It takes lots of Blood…

If Sylvanus does want to return to the light it would take a lot of life force to cleanse the void from her and return her to the light… She is merely just on a collection run and you are part of a the cattle that form her pool of essences for her own objectives… No evil intent just a clear direction that she understands might be a way back to the light and prevent her ever going back to the horror of the void when and if she dies…

I dont beilive everything the dagger tells me as we have seen other narru slowly voiding and they font demand blood they eat souls. Nagrand would be far diffrent if the narru trying to recover wanted blood not souls.

All sylvanas wants is to not die and svoid what might be the void or or follow me here the shadow lands you know shadowlands the lands of death we know little of except there are nasty thingd there. You seem to discount it completly except as domething goon.

The Naaru are different I actually think they are like the Titanborn are for the Titans. They are the creations of Light designed to do their tasks but in the same way the Titanborn have flaws and can flipped. I think the Naaru can do it but there is something else that prevents them for carrying out this process of conversion… Could it be that ultimately the Light still controls them and prevents the process for it’s own nefarious reasons?

Ah the im just asking questions routine. What if e erything blizzard has ssid about sylvanas is a lie what if the void is lieing to you what if there is no titain in axeroth and it is really a butterfly i am just asking questions.

The light has no will it is simply a force that responds when one cslls woth convition.

I must have skipped that patch. Or is this in some secret novel?

Jaina has always been pro peace, Anduin is you know… Anduin, Gnomes keep their days inventing new stuffs, Dwarfs are most of the time digging for artifacts, Night elves have always been happy staying within their borders, Worgen gave the finger to everyone and had not been for Sylvanas they would have kept themselves behind their wall and Draenei went as far as saving the Blood elves.

There will always be groups who care only about war, vengance, anarchy or whatever but the Alliance as a whole has always been pro peace. Even when we defeated the Horde Varian chose not to end them for good and everyone else agreed.

I’m not saying the Horde is evil but they have a different view/morals and sadly certain leaders are psychopaths. Tauren are good people and I still miss Cairn, Blood elves can be jerks but so are all elves including NE but still they also kept mostly to themselves, Darkspears are like the only good guys from all Troll tribes, Goblins are basically neutral in terms that they would work for anyone as long as they see profit but still they are not bad people, Orcs and their thirst for blood are tricky but under Thrall they were as peaceful as possible, sadly he could not control the Warsong Clan and it led to a war with NE. Scourge… I mean Forsaken are mostly evil but that’s because of Sylvanas. The Desolace Council proved there are good people but are oppresed by the evilness of their evil Lich Queen.

So in the end, bad leadership in the Horde have caused this endless cycle of war. Do I blame the horde for it? No, but I do blame their leaders.

I used Ctrl-F to seek the word Light in her quotes and she says no such thing!

All she says is that the Naaru are beloved brethren who have wandered from the true path.

Alex Afrasiabi states that she says lies with truth and truths with lies mixed in AKA half-truths.

Afrasiabi already stated that her calling the Old Gods siblings is a lie and that she uses half-truths. Incidentally the interviewer who asked about that was referring to this half-truth:

“It is ironic that the weakest of us may be the ultimate victor. C’Thun, Yogg-Saron, Y’Shaarj, and… well. Only one would remain to consume the world, that was always meant to be.”

She was probably talking about Void-aligned beings in general which would include any masters of the Naaru who have been corrupted(if their are any) or a corrupted Naaru in general(of which there are a lot).

As for her line about the Naaru being beloved brethren who have wandered from the true path and will return to their masters in time: She could mean

  1. that they are Lightforged Avatars of Void Lords or…

  2. K’ara’s being randomly cut off from the Light while flying the Genedar was due to the Void Lords hijacking all the Naaru’s connections to the Light without them realizing through the captured sibling imprisoned within Xal’atath.

You are looking at the Blade look at what is said by her when she is not inside the blade anymore. You will find it the information in that passage.

I like how the only ones liking this are Blood Elves and Forsaken.

Yeah, it’s called Battle for Azeroth and they all happen to be in this expac.
