Please remove this mechanic. I’m a 454 assassination rogue, and even with a food buff, augment rune, flask, prepot, and drums, Nythendra still gets an Infested Mind cast off on me before I can get her to 20%
I thought enabling legacy loot mode for a raid meant that it is now suppose to be soloable. I solo her with ease in lfr, normal, and heroic. Mythic is my only problem due to that Infested Mind cast. This is a letdown because she’s the first boss in a first tier raid preventing me from accessing any of the other 6 bosses.
The fight is by no means hard. It’s just an unavoidable mechanic that keeps giving me the finger everytime i get close to killing her =(

Their opening up of legacy loot mode earlier was not meant as an opening up of the “2 expansions old” scaling.
For example, I can’t solo coven of shivarra on normal mode+ as I cannot separate the two bosses to remove the 99% damage reduction.
Unfortunately, it is what it is.
She’s basically oneshottable I thought?
I think one of my gripes is look how long it took Blizzard to make mythic Hellfire Assault soloable for non mobile classes? There’s no doubt in my mind that Nythendra will be laughable in Shadowlands since we’ll have a ton of extra dps to blow her up. But how long do you think it will take for them to decide to remove the 99% damage reduction buff on Coven?
It’s very difficult to avoid her rot stacks. Once you get 10 stacks, she’ll use her breath, then cast Infested Mind after and if you don’t at least have her at 10% before her breath cast ends, then you’re screwed.
Tanks don’t have to worry about this because she doesn’t give you stacks of rot.
Honestly, my mage here has no issues soloing her on mythic…
