Ny'alotha is a great raid

People here complaining about Cinematic are so small-minded - Can we appreciate what blizzard has done with the Ny’alotha raid? It looks incredible and some bosses are super fun. Who cares about a 20-second cinematic when the entire raid itself is awesome

Because it sucks to be rewarded with a wet fart after a good raid

That’s like saying a movie with a terrible ending shouldn’t get hated on because the middle and beginning were ok.

You must be new to the forums op.

It can be a good raid and the cinematic can be bad, don’t know why it can’t be both. I mean, it feels like the Arthas vs Illidan duel in WC3. I understand it, I’m fine with the meaning behind but god is it cinematicly just bad.

If anything, the fact that the raid looks good makes the crappy ending even more awkward and jarring. Imagine if you were watching a Pixar movie, the big climax happens, and then instead of any kind of denouement the screen just turns into this

Seriously though, the raid looks fine. Zul’s awful trash aside, BFA’s raids were pretty consistently good.

Raid is amazing , mechanics wise , esthetic wise as well.

What is disappointing is that for the first time since titans came to Azeroth , old God is free completely, and yet he get only one expansion attention. N’Zoth is considered now the most powerful , but yet we defeat him in like Thrall Deathwing. When you look cataclysm , from beginning we new who is the end boss, but here at one point I tough it’s Sylvanas , at the other one Azshara and then it’s N’Zoth

But overall it’s still wonderful patch , with amazing raid

Gameplay=99.999%
Cinematic =00.00001 % of your time

You only watch the cinematic once or maybe twice but the raid you do again and again!! so why does it matter? You people make me laugh

It looks pretty cool, I’m waiting on LFRs to come out. I love the architecture and aesthetic though, been wanting an Old God raid like this forever. And the fights seem interesting from what I’ve seen.

The cinematics are fine to me, I personally have nothing against them.

Then why Blizzard develops them? Oh yes because they are moments why you’ll remember them, they are magic moments. And it’s not because Blizzard is also known to be able to do better :stuck_out_tongue: . I mean even the first expansion of wow had a magnificient trailer.

I think this is very true for gameplay, but for compelling gameplay - stuff that keeps me (at least) around - I need a narrative reason to want to do that 99.999(repeating)% stuff

Forget it ‘Zoth…it’s Ny’alotha

FYI I was referring to in game cinematics not the actually high budget cinematics.

Well Wod did have a pretty good one.

Even if there was still questionable lore in it.

and as for Legion:

Uhh… Did you raid without your cloak?

Well you clearly have no interest in the lore/writing aspect of the game, but many of us do. All endgame raids have had a cinematic worthy of the raid, this one is the laziest, poorly written trash that they could’ve come up with.

Teen girl squad!

I absolutely love the way it looks. Again the designers killed it. It looks soo good. It’s really unfortunate though it was such a small aspect of this expansion and that the end was very meh.

There are a ton of movies just like that though…

In fact MOST marvel movies have very predictable trash endings but the movie as a whole is always fun to watch.
