NW and Plaguefall overtuned?

Are these the new Seat of the Triumvirate… Fort week, Tyrann week, doesn’t matter these two dungeons feel vastly harder than any of the others.

Plaguefall your group is punished on the first and last boss and everything else if you dont bring classes that can dispel. Theres kickable things sure, but on the bosses there’s a groupwide unstoppable AoE disease, rip druid heals.

Necrotic wake, dont even get me started. overtuned trash, overtuned bosses, Best bet is to hope your dps can pull 8k consistently cause in here Mechanics<Dps

I’m not even suggesting a nerf on either of these just some quality of life changes, make the boss AoE disease kickable. and Necrotic wake simply needs more time on the timer

Agreed- especially Plaguefall.

For a relatively short dungeon, the boss encounters are incredibly punishing and the middle of the run trash is boring.

i despise NW , plaguefall is annoying as hell

Did a +8 NW with the guild, some members who last night timed +11 dungeons, and we had an awful time of it. It’s definitely a bit overturned. A +8 should be doable w/o having to have perfection in the group.

DoS and sanguine are the tough one.

Mist is the easy one.

plaguefall and NW lies in the middle.

For everyone’s hate on wake and plaguefall, the broker boss in DoS and torvald in sanguine (and that whole ring room in general) are way, way worse than anything in NW and PF.

and mueh’zala is even worse than the broker boss.

it’s just that since soulcrusher is a tank mechanic… it doesn’t get much attention.

Plaguefall is not overtuned. It has a generous timer. It’s easy and fair on both tyrannical and fortified.

NW sucks on tyrannical during 2nd boss. He simply has too much health along with his minions. You absolutely need to use all of the spears/hammers/orbs during this fight perfectly on high tyrannical or you aren’t gonna kill it.

NW also sucks on fortified. The trash before 3rd boss takes way too long.

agree that NW does need more time. During our 15 NW this week we were playing it pretty well with 0 deaths, didn’t wipe on 2nd boss, didn’t wipe during gauntlet and we had like only 8 mins left going into 3rd boss. The last boss is a slog with the exile mechanic and takes way too long.

Mueh’zala takes too long as well and his adds he spawns shouldn’t scale with tyrannical. Also, everyone I know who pushed keys this week has had a failed DoS due to last boss casting Stellar Cloud on the group when he shouldn’t have (happens when someone uses an immunity). Absolutely infuriating bug and i’m hoping its at the top of their list to fix when they come back.

the stellar cloud bug is annoying for sure, but he big deal breaker on mueh’zala is the soul crusher mechanic.

on +15 tyrannical the thing hit for over 10k a sec ( for 6 sec)… magic damage… 4 time per phase… and it’s all RNG wether you dodge/parry it or have to pump 10khps into the tank for it.

And keep in mind; 4 time per phase. 15ish second cooldown. You’ll run out of CD to use really quick and a health pot ain’t cutting it.

Yeah that’s overtuned as well, no denying that. Hoping either this Tuesday or next we see some hotfixes.

Plaguefall could use a few more adjustments , but Necrotic Wake is so overtuned that it makes Plaguefall look easy.

Plaguefall is just garbage. I hate the trash. I hate the bosses. The timer is decent on it though.

NW has decent encounters but it’s super punishing and definitely overtuned.

necrotic wake expect you collect and use all the spear-hammer-orb-shield found around the zone and use them efficiently to power through mob.

IE make a large pull, spear the furthest guy, all target in line of the spear take extra damage ( on top of the 20-25% of their HP done by the spear).

it just become extremely unforgiving if you die / lose those weapons. When you use Pride + lust + spear + 2X orb on the second boss and wipe… that’s it. key over. no second chances.

but in term of overtuned tyrannical bosses, there’s a whole bunch i’d list before the necrotic wake one… All of DoS, atleast lich of PvP boss of ToP, last boss of plaguefall, all 4 of sanguine depth are pretty rough…

those fortified abomination are another story tho.

God the first 2 bosses on NW 12 were horrid to the point our group dropped the key to a 10. The second boss is so overtuned on tyrannical if you dont gwt it with the spears and orbs your basically screwed xP

Honestly I hate the massive trash pack before Hakkars section of the dungeon. You don’t even get an urn nearby for Night Fae’s to use. The closest one is best used on the spirit hulk that pats by it.

yeah blizz in their infinite wisdom make it so the buff the boss gets by sucking up corpses lasts 30 seconds (instead of being permanent) but it does 100% more damage. The thing is though, he refreshes it soon after it drops off. So there is no breathing room for the healers. Also I feel like his breath rotates at random speeds. Some pulls it is extremely fast, other times it is slow.

The damage it does seems to be based on the damage the initial hit does. I tend to notice a big difference in the dots damage if I shield block the initial hit or not. Warriors can also deflect the dot (but you still take the phyiscal damage) =)

And more often then not hes always aiming it at range so if yoire not on his butt because you were trying to get a ranged add or running from one of the chunker melee that breath one shots and it suuuuucks.

yeah. the tooltip says ( the wowhead one, can’t double check in-game right now) that soul crusher should apply the damage taken from the physical portion over 9 second, as magic damage.

But, it actually appear to apply the damage taken from the physical portion every second for 9 second… which mean the ability do 900% more damage than intended.

The last boss in Plaguefall on Tyrannical is brutal to heal through. Did it at a +15 and it took like every ounce of my skill and class abilities. You get the slime DoT aoe back-to-back three times in a row and a healer has to top everyone off.

The hardest key I’ve had problems with timing this week is DoS +15. The timer is way too tight. Almost every key you’re at 36 minutes after the 3rd boss with only 5 minutes left to kill a boss that takes 4 minutes so every little screw up you accumulated in the dungeon adds up.

Accidentally pulled one extra trash pack? You’re screwed. Had more than one death? You’re screwed. People not able to kill their split image? You’re screwed. This dungeon legitimately needs another +2 minutes.

Spires is the most lenient timer out of all of them.

Yeah we tried a 12 NW and couldn’t get past the 2nd boss. Got close a couple of times, but couldn’t finish it off.

I wish they’d just get rid of tyrannical and fortified.
