Removed instead of dealing with idiocies.
I decided to farm weapons with my Warrior, mount wasn’t even on my mind, got it on the first go at it. lol. I don’t even use the mount, not a fan of big mounts, can’t see anything over them.
Some raid mounts are more stubborn than others.
The Blazing Drake from Dragonsoul pushed me to the point where I actually started running in on all 12 of my alts.
Have you done this drastic reaction on your main?
I don’t really have a main. Just some characters I got up for roleplay. I’ve been leveling an army of paladins just to run that particular dungeon since they’re the fastest at it.
I suggest an army of demon hunters.
All on different servers.
All of them start at 98 and won’t need leveling or gear.
Each a master of speed.
The perfect dungeon farming class.
I already got 8, problem is I’ve hit character cap a long time ago. And Paladin do not get stunned on Keal’thas encounter which process it a lot faster. Divine shield and call it a day.
Ridiculous is never “Red.”
Holy crow!
I think exaggeration?
At a 1 percent drop, the chance of having it by 400 runs is something like 90 percent (to have got it on one of the runs.)
Can you start pruning?
Alts come and go. Mounts are forever.
No I’ve been at it since it become solo’able in Cataclysm.
sha of anger wants to have a word with you
I’ve long since lost count of how many times I’ve killed Ragnaros in Firelands across my various alts.
I just know that bloody Firehawk is being infuriatingly stubborn.
Press X to doubt.
Doubt all you want but I’ve got 50 characters. 45 which are just for that purpose. They all picked up Engineering to use the MOLL-E and I can vendor trash out of my Yak. I’ve not miss a single week ever since I could start win the fight on my own. So It’s only a game of a game of log in, log out, take about 2 hours per week.
That math still doesn’t hold up. Your first kill was in 2012 meaning you would have only gotten a little over 400 attempts on a singular character. They only recently increased the cap to 50 and even if the cap was 50 for all that time, it still wouldn’t be close to 27000.
Math is fun.
In 2010, actually. That was first when I got 85.
Achievements say otherwise.
I really don’t care about it. I’ve move characters to another account when I divorced back in the days, which reset some of them. But hey you do you, see you.
Alrighty, I’ll just trust the math.
I still seriously doubt you have legit 27,000 kills.
For what its worth though, Invincible was like that for me. Was no where near your greatly exaggerated 27,000 but I was doing ICC each week on 10-12 characters. For years. And years. Until I got so jaded I just quit farming it for a year or so. Then I started farming it on 3-4 toons a week. I kept them parked at ICC and that was all they did each week. A few years later, I finally got it.
It’s frustrating when the dice consistently rolls bad for you but as mount farmers all we can do is keep pushing through while hoping the roll favors us. It only has to favor us once, and we are done.
Ashes took me like 7 kills. Raven Lord was 35 or so. Life-Binders Handmaiden was like 20. Blazing Drake? May as well not exist(RIP Awake the Drakes achievement). Invincible, hundreds upon hundreds of runs. Onyxian Drake? Like 30 runs. Panther from ZG? Maybe 10 runs. Raptor from ZG? May as well not exist.
Moving past mounts, I’ve been trying to get the Glowing Green Ash off Jadefire Spirit and the Ashen Stone off Watcher Osu on the Timeless Isle since MoP was current, so I can finally be done with that bigger bag achievement.
Some stuff is just stubborn. Keep at it though. May be time to take a break from farming it though, if you are getting anywhere near jaded like I was. Perhaps try for other raid mounts for a few months to change things up?
It is hit or miss. I got both that one and the white Hawkstrider on the 2nd run.
On the other hand I have yet to see either horse drop from Kara or the clefhoof from Blackrock foundry.
