After a recent round of Nvidia driver updates my Wow game client had developed a really annoying flicker on many world objects. I searched everywhere to find a solution other than rolling back to a previous driver. After messing with my settings I believe I found the solution. No more flicker.
Go to Settings/Advanced/ and turn on MSAA. 2x Color/ 2x Depth worked fine for me.
Hope this helps users and also the development team.
Stay gold!

I already had it set to MSAA with 2x Color and 2x Depth and I definitely got flickering on the latest drivers. The only way I found to stop it was either a) disable Ray Tracing or b) roll back my driver.
I tried changing anti-aliasing around to different settings, and changed ambient occlusion types (as I saw elsewhere people said those worked). Neither worked for me
This happened to me 2 updates ago, but the most recent update fixed it. It’s good to know there’s an easy temporary fix if it pops up again. Thanks!
Did you turn off triple buffering?
I hadn’t tried that, no. I can give it a go and report back
I have tried everything in everyones list and still getting flickering. No it’s not Ray Tracing related. No it’s not tripple buffering or Antialiasing.
They are just bad drivers.

You guys talking about like a weird green blink, like a millisecond. This just starting happening a month or so ago here.
happening on gaming laptop, 2nd gaming pc and newest gaming pc i just built for xmas with a 2080 ti, not happening on wives pc which is only one with an AMD graphic card.
I’d just like to know how the same bugs keep popping up in these drivers time and time again.

So tried Triple Buffering off. I’m still getting flickering
There are graphics changes for this over on the tech support forum that seem to have high success rates. I’m holding out on updating my driver until nvidia gets a fix out.
AA off
Ray tracing shadows off
Use DX11
Or rollback the driver.
Yea this is basically it. Bad driver. Wait until they fix or undo what they broke for many.

No, I haven’t. I will give it a shot when I get home.
That seems to be an important part of the changes that need to be made to stop the flickering if you don’t want to rollback the driver to a previous version.

My fiancee had this problem on her screen but not me but turning off ray tracing on her screen fixed the flickering. I do have ray tracing on mine and it does not do that so it seem to be situational. But it did fix my fiance flickering problem so try turning ray tracing. Anyway it does not do much difference in wow to have it on or off just a few barely noticable shadow.
