I can’t even play WoW with the last 2 nvidia driver updates. my FPS are between 2 and 6. i’ve disabled ray tracing in both the geforce app and the wow settings. this isn’t me either. the last two drivers have known issues and there’s much about how upset people are in other forums. there is also this notice i get when i log into wow (even though i have ray tracing disabled): “There is a known GPU driver issue that can cause very slow first time game launches while shaders are built for the first time. this process can take several minutes.” idk why i’m getting that msg when ray tracing is disabled, but i’m getting it. i’ve also let the game just run for over an hour in case i just had to wait to get past this very slow first time game launch, but nope. still those abmyssal low frame rates. with all the complaining i see online about the last 2 driver updates, i can’t be the only one with issues and wow, so what is everyone else doing for a work around? to add: i have rolled back to several different driver versions, going back as far as the one from september.
I don’t use the gforce app anymore because it tends to break things. Go to nvidia manually get the latest driver and do a clean install. Make sure you don’t re install gforce app cuz they keep trying to push it on you. Before I install drivers I always make sure everything else is closed and I pause windows update too. Good luck it gets frustrating to find issues at times.
