Nvidia Control Panel: No SLI option

I have two 2080 RTX cards installed but only one card is used when playing WOW, no matter what the settings are. I have tried everything to get the second card to work, (changing Graphics Quality and FPS in game, and trying all DirectX settings–12, 11, 11 Legacy) but it is always idle, even when the other card is working at full tilt, temperature rising. I now see in the Nvidia control panel there is no option for SLI. I have a NVLink installed with the cards (for SLI). I have uninstalled and reinstalled GeForce Experience, and have made sure the Nvidia drivers are up to date. What am I doing wrong?

Howdy!

SLI is an infrequent hardware configuration. Though our developers will attempt to resolve any bugs around SLI and ensure the game will run on SLI systems it is not designed too fully utilize this feature. You can provide feedback to our developers on the general forums if you would like to see improvements in this area made.

Thank you.

EDIT: Just to update this thread: It turns out the NVLink wasn’t pushed all the way in and to get it all the way on the cards required a lot of force. Now both cards are working, The Nvidia control panel features the SLI option and all is working as it should. Problem solved.
