Numlock in WoW mess up with my keyboard

If I’m outside of WoW, pressing numlock just work as usual (enable or disable my side numeral keys).

But if I press it while playing WoW. It mess up with all of my keys and I have no way to revert it back.

Pressing it again makes no difference and I must reboot my PC.

It all started when my kids played with my PC and I have be reverting back all of their change for the past 2 hours. They gave me bugs that even google doesn’t seems to think exist.

Howdy Varlak,

Do you have any keyboard or mouse software like Razer running? Try closing all other programs temporarily to test WoW by itself.

i have computer issues with my keyboard also.
i start playing and my “S” disables sound and when i bring up “M” for map i mutes my music.

I use an MMO mouse, the Logitech g600, but I don’t think it use any program.

i use that same mouse

i just updated my logitech usb am gonna see if that fixed my issue.

when i get these issues it totaly messes with my hole system. can type anything any where in a notepad, browser. and wow starts the issue.

Howdy Tamika,

It sounds like your issue may be related to keybindings. Have you checked that S and M aren’t enabled for toggling sound and music under Key Bindings > MIsc?

Solved, it seems that my kids had messed up with the keyregistry, Numlock was set to a multiple numeral number rather then 0,1 or 2.

Setted it back to 1 and now its fine.

Wild, thanks for the update!

i will check now. i have to reboot my system when it starts messing up.

where or how do i check for this?

its set to control s and control m to mute them under misc.
when i hit just s and m it disables the sound and music.

This is in WoW. Open the System menu by pressing ESC and then go to Key Bindings > Miscellaneous.

its set to control s and control m s for sound m for music.

You may want to try resetting the Key Bindings entirely by clicking the option at the bottom of the Key Bindings menu.

i did that after me 3rd pc reboot.

let me test something. i think its the mouse wheel press that starts it all

this all started happening yesterday, and got worse today.

My guess is that there could be a background program causing a conflict. So try closing all other programs temporarily. If this doesn’t help, you may want to do a full UI reset and then reinstall WoW if it persists.

ok when i go to pres my g12 button which was my old auto run and stop button. when i push it it makes my keyboard think i am holding control for some reason.
