What does the number next to your forum name mean, and why do all the ones that say “Wow Classic” have 0? Like where mine says 910
It’s the amount of achievement points you have on retail. Since achievements aren’t in Classic, it’s just listed as 0 when posting from a Classic character.

This is one of those unwinnable situations.
You start a new thread: “Why not just Google or search the forum for an existing thread!?”
You find an existing thread and make a comment: “Why are you necroing old threads!?”
In my opinion it shouldn’t matter, as long as the information is still relevant.
