Null Stones?

Did blizzard like nerf finding Null Stones from Bismuth? I went full into Bismuth specialization to mine Null Stones from Bismuth without them breaking into imperfect, and now all i am finding is Imperfect null stones from Iron claw Ore and Aqirite Ore. Just found like…8 imperfects from those.

I ended up giving up on gathering awhile ago because I found easier to just buy mats to make stuff to sell on the AH.

However before I stopped gathering stuff I noticed a lot of wierd things. First my main gatherer would rarely get Nullstones despite speccing to get them. It would be much more common for me to get Imperfect.

Second my other characters that I used far less often would get just as many Imperfect Nullstones in a shorter gathering session. It made me think that there is some internal CD attached to gathering to keep Nullstones rare.

I noticed the same thing with cloth drops for my 3 tailors. I would get a bunch of cloth in the first dungeon or delve I did and then they would dry up.

It seems like there is something going on underneath the hood with drops in order to keep mats rarer than they should otherwise be at this point in the expansion.

I haven’t noticed any change overall. It varies from gathering session to gathering session of course, but RNG is gonna RNG sometimes.

I think you just had a run of bad luck.

Not sure if there’s a nerf, but Null Stones are a lot less valuable now that people have caught up with their specialization talents/skills. When I started out they were roughly 10k but now you’ll be lucky to get 3k for one Null Stone.
I’m kinda confused on why they separated gemstones from mining, I just want to hit rock and make money…

i specced into bismith, then aqirite and finished ironclaw this week. Once I’d finished bismith I hardly got any null stones from them whereas previously I was getting fragments often. Same thing then happened with aqirite. I finished all three this week - and in my gathering run for an hr today got 9 complete null stones. Wierd.

I am having an issue where, since I have maxed the plethora of ore and bismuth trees for Mining Prof., despite it saying I should receive Null Stones and no longer Imperfect Null Stones when mining Bismuth, now I just don’t seem to get any stones at all. It seems like my chance to receive Imperfect Null Stones just went away, instead of those Imperfects I would have received just becoming whole Null Stones. Now I’m left only with that low chance to receive a whole Null Stone from a Bismuth node that I had before and…nothing else.

I am on my way to maxing Iron Claw as well, only to expect the same result, being fewer Null Stones?

I already put in Bug Report in game and tried in the Bug Report Forum with nothing to show for any of it.

Similar issues with Null lotus and the last nodes in the bountiful harvest trees which are supposed to increase your chance of getting them.

I’m getting more and more convinced large portions of the crafting system are just cross walk buttons.

Now that I’m at 45/45 Bismuth, 30/45 Ironclaw and 0/45 Aqirite, I go out for 45 mins of mining and come back with 1 whole Null Stone and TWO Imperfects. TWO.

It seems SO obvious that Blizzard changed the chance to get Imperfect Null Stones to ZERO once you max out the ore and did not instead make the chance to get Imperfects award a whole Null Stone, like the specialization says it does.

This also seems like a simple numbers fix.

Same, I was getting all kinds of Imperfect null stones. So i maxed out Bismuth, now i’ve gotten one in the past 6 days…but suddenly i’m now getting imperfect null stones from the Aquirite, so what did i do? I’ve almost maxed Aquirite now and guess what…now i only get null stones from iron claw…Its blatantly obvious Blizzard is fudging the system on purpose.

I had the same problem when I maxed bismuth and still had the other two to max. Now I have all three maxed I am getting ample supplies of null stones most of the time. I feel like there is some problem when you have 1 or 2 of the three maxed.
