Nuking classes

Imagine if Blizzard pared down class abilities in the next expansion to the point where we were just 3 - 4 ‘roles’ and we all shared the same abilities. Then, you could ‘transmog’ abilities to look like class abilities- like turning a melee MS effect ability into a rising sun kick or mortal strike animation.

That’s a hard no from me.

It’s a no from me too, but it does seem like the general direction.

They could give you an ability equipment slot that you could “choose” to put 1 ability in. It would be the same but different and offer you the “choice” but actually remove 3 different abilities.

There’s a [redacted] that let’s you mix and match different class abilities and passives onto one character. Obviously not balanced, but it always sounded interesting to me.

Bit of a tangent. Obviously I don’t want them to make every class the same.

Why not…

Tank : [Taunt] / [Weapon Strike]
DPS : Caster [Cast Spell] / Melee [Weapon Strike]
Healer: [Heal]

Armor has no stats and is purely cosmetic.
All existing armor models are available on the cash shop for .99/ea
Every mob in the game now drops a sack of 50,000G

All new characters automatically start at lvl100
Any existing toons over lvl100 are deleted
The game is now F2P

Given that gear is completely reset every 4 months, isn’t it cosmetic?

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised.

First they get rid of class armor sets for generic ugly sets. That’s where we’ll be headed next, haha.

Almost yeah… other than the odd specific transmog piece I hunt for I don’t remember getting excited about a drop for current content in ages. It all just feels sort of meh? Maybe +1 on my average ilvl if I’m lucky that day.
