Nuisance: Water Walking Fall Damage

Hi Devs –

I recognize this is a low priority Shaman issue with all of the other things going on, but is there any way we could remove fall damage as a damage source that would cause Water Walking to go away?

Due to the layout of many BfA zones, getting to the water typically requires falling onto the surface, but a teeny tiny amount, typically a few hundred damage. This causes Water Walking to drop, which is a dismount, re-cast, remount.

Even just a threshold for “if the fall damage is >30%” or something would be huge. Thanks in advance.

Since this probably won’t be addressed, a little workaround is as you’re falling, angle your camera downward with your right mouse button and press your move forward key. You should break through the water’s surface but still be able to pop back up onto the surface and continue, you shouldn’t take any fall damage.

Yeahhhhh, I remember doing that in DTK when death knights would use PoF to troll their team on that one big drop, I just never think to do it in the moment. You’re right on both counts, though.
