NPC dialogue box automatically closing

The chat bubble keeps automatically closing for me. For example I go up to an NPC and interact, and before I can choose any chat options the chat box closes as if I had hit escape or otherwise disengaged with the NPC. Weirder still that it happens at random intervals, sometimes within 1-2 seconds, other times it stays open for a bit longer and then closes… I can’t figure out if it’s a particular addon or something else causing this (I’ve tried disabling my chat/NPC/quest focused addons, but to no avail). It’s quite annoying :frowning:

edit: I even just disabled all my addons, and it still does this.

edit 2: It seems to be limited to the NPCs around (and including) Wrathion at the Obsidian Citadel during the “Restoring the Faith” quest.

Did you ever get a fix for this? I’m experiencing this currently in Algeth’ar Academy and can’t select a dragon buff because the NPC window closes too soon.

Not directly. It just stopped happening once I finished the “Restoring the Faith” quest.

If its happening specifically in dungeons and you use addons its likely the DBM or BigWigs addon as they have an auto accept/dialogue option on in the settings by default. Meant to speed up the process of RP for things like the algethar buffs or the hidden demon in CoS.

If its outside of that i recommend cache clearing and/or seeing if it happens when you use the interact key(default f) instead of mouse click.
