Now that we can ride dragons can we please unlock real flight?

The reasons given for locking flight behind pathfinder, and months of waiting, were that the devs didn’t want players to speed over the beautiful ground content, and argued that those who have flight can farm much faster than those who do not fly.

Now we have dragon flight which allows us to fly at 830% zooming above the beautiful ground content, and all before we hit max level, allows us to farm at a greater rate, can we now get real flight after all the max we can fly using real flight is only 310% and we have to wait until we hit max; so why make us wait for a feature that is “inferior” to the zooming dragon riding that we have now?

prolly because the expansion hasn’t even been out a week yet

Nah this is way better. I just wish they’d let us use any flying mount we want for dragonflying, and potentially replace legacy flying with dragonflying in old content. This is so much better.

with dragonriding you fly through the zone

regular flying you fly above the zone.

one has considerably more interaction with the environment.

I fly above every zone with DR, what are you talking about?

Also: normal flying is getting released eventually anyway. Y’all are just arguing for the sake of arguing.

For me dragon riding is not fun at all, the motion sickness and lack of fine motor control in my hands make this form of travel nearly impossible to use.

Sorry to hear that.

Not at all, I am arguing that dragon riding is much, much faster than real flight so the main argument that flight allows us to skip ground content so it should be delayed is moot.

I hope that dragonflying is the future of flight in this game.

I wasn’t addressing you. I was addressing the person I quoted.

Dragon riding is new. Yes it has function, however it is not and should not be considered a replacement for the long established flying from the expansion 1 until now.
Indeed all it is really is a new mini game.

I truly hope not.

I don’t. It’s too fast and too hard on the eyes. They’d have to remove the speed lines and keep normal flying.

I truly hope it remains a side game.

I think it will be without a doubt. Pretty sure legacy flying will too.

I hope we’re never stuck with TBC flying ever again.

Dragonriding is much more fun and faster than normal flying. the only thing inferior about it is not being able to hover in place like you can on a regular mount - which would make a great dragon riding skill in the future.

Ah, I see, sorry.

It’s far more fun and engaging than the classic style, but I also realize everyone has their own tastes.

I don’t think that I agree. It is a good way to race at breakneck speed across the map, however it is an extremely poor way to see the zone.
