Now that Warriors have the worst performing DPS specs

Can you throw us a few bones to help us out?

  1. Allow sunder armor to be applied through the use of normal abilities like Heroic Strike, Cleave, Whirlwind, and Bloodthirst. Right now we spend 5 GCDs at the beginning of the fight wasting all of our trinket procs. Credit goes to someone on the EU forums for this idea, but I can’t locate the post anymore.
  2. Fix the 4-piece T8 set bonus bug. The tooltip indicates we should be getting a flat 10% crit chance increase to Mortal Strike and Bloodthirst, but right now there is a 40% proc chance that we will get a 10% increase on the next cast.
  3. Forcing us to desync our weapons multiple times during a fight is a DPS loss and something requiring weak auras, etc. that the average player isn’t aware of. For example, if our weapons are synced and we crit with both weapons then only one Deep Wounds is applied instead of two.

Someone always has to be last, friend. You do see how this presents a problem if they just keep handing out class+ buffs to the “lowest” performer?

Blizzard really opened up a massive can of worms with that move…sigh

No, Blizzard doesn’t rebalance classes. This is classic.

This is exactly my point wrt Ret changes (and I love Ret). In spite of Blizzard saying those changes do not constitute precedent for others to then expect review/changes…it has a negative effect on the community; as in this case legitimate Warrior concerns can’t expect to be addressed, and there is a sense of “othering” that naturally happens.

Warriors will shoulder the burden like we always do… :muscle:t3:

That’s the downside of using end expansion patch info while still building up the expansion as normal, keeps crap in that they changed to work with later patches while we don’t have access to the reasons they were done in the first place sadly, I forgot completely about the titan’s grip nerf that’d come later on in wotlk, it’d been so long, I did vaguely remember the paladin seal they got rid of though.

I’m also usually prot, but the occasion I do switch to fury, I don’t feel like my damage is too bad, I don’t expect it to be fantastic as it’s an off spec so it’s nowhere near as geared, but I don’t think it’s bad, just not as good as pure dps classes like warlocks and mages, I do agree on the sunder armor part though, it’d be nice to have that apply with another skill via a glyph or somethin, but at the same time it is a direct damage increase for the rest of the melee in the group, so that’d probably be a rather substantial buff in the end.

The more I go into it the more nitpicky it sounds, which is what it likely is in the end.

Yep it makes sense. However, comparing the ret paladin situation to the warrior situation is not fair. Ret paladins had two S-tier specs to fall back on until ICC. Now they have a low mid-tier scaling DPS spec, too.

Warriors don’t have anything to fall back on besides switching characters. I don’t think people actually realize how bad it is.

We cast more than mages do each fight. I’ll just pull logs from a random fight from my last raid.

I cast 220 times. The rogues who did more than 1.5k DPS higher than me cast 70 times. The ret paladin who on average is doing more than me cast 140 times. 28 of the 140 were HoR off GCD macroed into his normal rotation. That’s 112 casts.

I’m breaking my keyboard and giving myself carpal tunnel to be last. It’s unreal.

How much DPS should Fury be doing on let’s say Norm XT? Fairly normal fight… just want to get a sense of what you are saying.

They literally proved that to be inaccurate by giving ret paladins a gigantic boost to DPS skyrocketing them over about half a dozen other known PvE specs.

Yeah haha I meant that sarcastically.

Everyone tried to tell the ret paladins this and they didn’t want to hear it. Then Blizzard caved in.

That’s… Just factually incorrect.

95th percentile (so it’s not all outliers) Ignis (because he’s a patchwerk fight).

Ret is now basically on par with the rest of the bottom rather than a tier behind them. The horror!

And if you go to the 99th percentile of performance, fury, marks, and balance are back ahead of Ret.

Doesn’t seem over buffed at all to me. People are just mad that ret functions as a DPS now.

Warriors have 2 DPS specs and a tank spec. They are fine.

Two absolutely useless DPS specs and one pretty bad tank spec.

They are only “fine” if you pull out your credit card and spend hundreds of dollars on gold to get a raid spot in a GDKP.

Thats the only chance warriors have in this game.

Cant wait till this garbage version is over, and they can re-release WOTLK with balanced classes. Will be such better gameplay than this crap we have now with end game balancing but current phase tier & gear. Just makes no sense.

You can help yourself out by pressing sunder and not complaining when you can do almost zero dps and still get loot by being useful.

Oh and stop trying to convince rogues to do your job so you can get 50 extra dps when you are at the bottom of the meter.

The warriors in my guild are doing just fine.

Because you play in a bad guild im sorry to say.

Anyone with any skill in this game would bring at most 1 warrior and even then 0 warriors. more DKS and warlocks plz thanks.

The version of Titans grip we have is the 3.1.0 version, it got updated to the 10% physical damage nerf when ulduar launched originally and never got touched again after that.

Fixing the bugs in my class would be enough for me. The ret buff only stings because ret had the same representation as my entire class, but whatever, special treatment will always be a thing. Being the bottom, being the top…how about being a competitive choice? I can put up with the “scaling” myth so that I can compete for 3rd highest DPS behind lock and DK in ICC, whatever, just fix my class, since I’m not about to get more utility or better roles, might as well function in what I’m supposed to do.

Still mixed with pre-buff parses.
