How long until the low key tryhards think the MDI routes are absolutely mandatory to time their 10s?
Probably never because no one actually watches MDI.
There’s a surprising amount of sweats who copy the top routes no matter what, even with different comps or completely lacking necessary utility.
Now just waiting for the Rogue/Healer duos to break off in Ara’kara because their favourite team did it.
I don’t think it’s many people’s goal to time a +9 in 5 minutes
TGP will be more interesting
MDI is boring. TGP is the leet stuff.
I think you overestimate how many actually do that that versus people who automatically go “omg why MDI pulls” when things go bad.
Honestly it’s this. Tanks have no idea what they’re doing with or without the MDI, people just have a new scapegoat to blame.
I’ve seen people call extremely basic double pulls “MDI nonsense” just because the pull went wrong. If it hadn’t things would be continuing as normal.
I’ve never seen anyone try to copy a MDI route ever. MDI routes are basically “pull the whole dungeon”.
I’ve seen people copy tech that was first seen in the MDI, but that’s not the same thing.
Some people call anything beyond a single pack pull an “MDI pull” because they have no idea how anything works.
I won’t complain if I finish a +8 in 5 minutes though.
Ive seen it in past expansions as a tank. Usually DPS will say something like “thats not how they did it in MDI” or “You can chain pull this + this + that and LOS it”
The problem is they don’t seem to understand that to do the pulls they need to actually inturrupt, stun, CC, and do more damage than they are capable of doing.
The Ara Kara split makes me very afraid someone is going to be dumb enough to try that in a pug.
