Since shadowlands it looks like warlocks are gonna be FOTM and the class everyone wants nerfed (with the rise in topics about how OP they are), looks like its time to finally make a demon hunter since they can’t really be nerfed anymore than they already are in SL. I wanted to play one, but they were everywhere and everyone hated them except other DHs
So now looks like a great time to abandon warlock and go to DH, plus even with the huge nerfs can’t beat how mobile and fun DH is to play. Love glide and zip zooming around.
So, are you gonna play DH now that FOTM has moved to another class? Or if you already are a DH, are you gonna stick with the class through shadowlands?

I don’t do FOTM stuff… so still same for me. DH’s act FOR ME as a way to switch things up from the norm.
Zip, zoom, eyebeam feels fun for a few minutes here or there

I have never played any class because they were flavor of the month. I have been loyal to my hunter since '06. So much so that i really don’t know how to play any other class, as sad as that may seem.

Warlocks are almost always FOTM, look at the history from vanilla until now. Imagine Ele Shams as being top dog…Technically happened one time and that was Firelands.

I have a max level geared DH and Lock. So, yes, I will be playing them in SL.
Demon Hunters weren’t OP to begin with
Blizzard dev just has 0 comprehension and couldn’t realize what made demon hunters decent this expansion was borrowed power.
But because they’re Blizzard devs and don’t know how to balance anything. They just listened to the mass cry babies on the forums who got killed in a bg.

yeah, though it seems in SL they are getting a lot of attention from the devs. Look at all the class threads in the SL class forum, and warlock is getting by far most attention, plus a lot of things warlocks are asking for/requesting the devs are actually giving them.
Either way, personally don’t like playing FOTM classes cause they always get nerfed and also always hated on, but who knows, maybe warlocks are always gonna be like that and will miss the nerf bat. But I doubt it since the focus won’t be on DH anymore but on whatever ends up replacing them (which currently looks like warlocks).
Y’all want lock to be nerfed but you have no problem eating our cookies.

DH was in both Legion and BFA my least favorite tank to play, and I can play Havoc for a good 40 minutes before I get very bored.
That seems unlikely to change with Shadowlands.
No because blizzard is about to overly nerf them just like they did DKs after cata.
Me playing felsavior had nothing to do with FOTM. She happened to be my only 110 on the horde.
I have groomed my shaman and dk to be horde mains and a priest and warrior to be alliance mains.

As I have said I am fine with playing a relatively balanced non-OP version of a demon hunter, particularly since I’ve never had the gear to be particularly OP in the first place. I just want the class to remain fun to play.

…again? Haven’t they been FotM for like all of BfA?

I played one for legion , it did not stick with me over rogues , so i’m not .
Warlocks. They aren’t fotm. They’re Flavor of the Year. Or Flavor of the Expansion.
I like my FDK. Call it playing a bad spec badly, but I have fun with it.
If we’re talking just about raids, locks have been dominate for like the past 5 expansions lmao
As long as you Purely PvP, maybe. The whole class is about as hunted for as sub rogues in m+, and in raids, everything they can do a fire mage can do better.
Edit: I’m eager to see if Malefic builds are viable in m+.
was hard enough for me to level one to 110 in legion…so i have no plans whatsoever to play that class…
