its classic just give it a month and it will go back to not being big LOL then go play when its not toooo crowded. Im just waiting for classic+ or Classic fresh

Yeah… you cant really trust twitch views as its all flavor of the month. Remember when FF14 had 2 to 3 times the viewers than wow? Now they only have 6k total viewers, also google trends for whatever reason doesn’t have dragonflight as its own category but does for classic so its not reliable to compare it too.

dragonfart is not doing well just as bfa and shadowlands were duds and ghost towns 2 months in.
I think bfa took a little longer but SL was quick and Dragonfart is already there.

A fad streamer driven game mode =/= classic popularity.
There is genuine hype around what else is going to be done with classic now that we are in the middle of the last of the original 3 “classic era” games and in-between “Season of X”/Fresh Start Era realms.
HC is it’s own thing. Popular sure but doesnt have much to do with vanilla wow.

Dragonflight is doing better than both BFA/SL and id say its a better xpac than Legion… Love the classic andys making retail toons to talk smack about retail… go home boomer

Blizzard is likely cooking something up, With WoTLK switching to Raid log mode, and may players finding there way back to Classic I think it speaks volumes to Classics design Choices, I’ve played somthing like 21 days of play time on one character and still have so much I want to do.
But I Don’t think cata classic will have the pull of the OG’s though some will play it. Most retail players (this is a guess) Started cata on.
At the end of the day blizzard/Activation what to make money if they find that development for classic be that from wrath on or era on will make them more money they will do it.
Retail and it’s player base is ultimately too far gone from how the game used to work that they wont be able to change it to fit the classic players desires with out pissing off all the people who play it now.
Maybe simple Season of mastery 2, maybe classic +. Thoses seem the most likely to happen That and Hard Core for sure.
I think the best thing they could do that would bring in the most players is a Wow 2 similar to the Idea of EQ2 Same game world but with timeline split. Idk maybe they are setting it up with the Bronze Dragons in DragonFlight lots of time line talk.

Do you have evidence to back this up? Even with the HC fad going on, which i hopped on the bandwagon… I doubt the numbers are in favor of classic.
It’s also amazing how often classic players attack retail, seem like the maturity level is much higher on retail, because they never talk about classic.
