I get turned down for mythics even though I exceed the minimum ilvl for the mythic I am trying to get into. I am currently ilvl 204 and I consistently get turned down for +5, +6 or +7. My guild is small still working our way through the normal castle raid. I have no idea what my IO score is because I didn’t plan on doing any mythics over +10. There are too many elitist a$$holes in the wow community.
is there some reason you can’t start your own groups?
Because your io score shows you have zero experience doing them. 1 timed +6 and a couple 4s. That’s it. Why would somebody invite you, who has extremely little experience, over one of the other 20 dps that applied in the first 30 seconds that have more experience?
There are a few. But if you think picking the most qualified people on paper to run a group with is elitist, you should probably quit playing again.
Man, his IO score probably isnt even the biggest factor. Class and covenant is the first thing people look at.
That’s exactly what happened to me when I did KSM. I had all my +14’s done but no groups would invite me to +15’s because I hadn’t done any yet. I decided screw it and made my own groups with my key and got KSM done in like a week. People need to stop acting like forming groups is some herculean task.
You are a dps. There are like 50 dps joining the same key as you.
Where would I even find my io score? How do you improve it?
Or maybe he should do something else in the game that’s fun instead of measuring eP33ns with folks running dungeons like it’s a job … to get more gear … to run those same dungeons … just a thought …
Just google raiderIO and search for your character. The score comes from your best runs of each M+ dungeon. You improve it by running each dungeon and improving the time and/or level of the key. RaiderIO may not even be the problem, just so many people apply for dps spots.
Your guild may be small, but talk with your guildies about running mythic+. Its more enjoyable with friends anyway.
Raider.io is entirely a player-driven “metric” so having the item level for the gear that drops from certain M+ key levels has little or nothing to do with it. It’s all about your score and how the community perceives your accomplishments within it.
If you want to build your score, it’s better to start your own groups. You still won’t be invited/accepted to many keys until your score reflects you’ve timed the key levels you’re trying to get into.
I looked up your IO to see why you might not be getting in groups. You’ve timed 4s, 6s, completed a 10–I don’t think you’re under qualified for the level you’re applying for.
That said, there are a lot of dungeon gaps to fill in. There’s no record of you running some of them for mythic+. Those, you might want to start even lower. A lot of groups don’t invite based on score, but with awareness that you’re familiar with the dungeon. Get a level or 2 lower of those ones, you’ll get in worthwhile ones more easily.
It sucks building IO. But if a random pug sees familiarity with the dungeon, you’re far more likely to get in! This is coming from an SV hunter–requires even more proof just because of my spec! But I get invited/not booted.
Just saying you shot your self in the foot going Kyrian over Night Fae…especially for M+, people will decline you for your covenant, this been happening all Shadowlands…
If literally seen a 209 ilvl Fire Mage be instant removed for being Necrolords…
Your best bet is honestly creating your own group for M+ as a work around.
in those low of keys? id be looking at covenant solely to obtain the dungeon covenant advantages.
Like any tool, stop shouting at people who use it and just pick it up & learn to use it. It’s really quite useful and works. Of course, your problem is that you’re competing against other dps who are dime a dozen. And playing probably the most populated class in game right now. Bound to be competition. Do a normal mythic and get your own key. Run it once with a 200+ group and you’ll have a +4 or 5. Then noone can reject you.
You need to make yourself more valuable to a group.
Play a tank or a healer.
If running dungeons succesfully is not fun for you, then yes, definetly do something else. I dont think anyone would disagree.
So you’re the one responsible for hunters trying to tank…
