Now I know why WOW isn't fun...for me

Can you give it to me in 2 sentences?

Use ur own keys, ur the one doing the rejecting. I generally play for fun so if my key gets tanked its not a big deal. I generally pvp cuz theres less drama then pvp, no rejections. You just get to play. No idea why pvp is dead in game when imo all the issues are in pve other than sharding.

Loot isn’t really that abundant in classic either. The main reason classic feels better in many ways is that it is MUCH more social and the progression curve is much better tuned. There’s plenty of people that do 20+ BRD runs to get a single item. The reason people don’t mind is that it’s a social experience doing it, whereas retail is completely impersonal.

I like both for different reasons, but I think retail has better and more interesting gameplay mechanics if you like challenging yourself. But classic does accomplish the “easy to learn, hard to master” ethos better. The skills are simpler, but there’s a lot to master.

I think dungeons are only fun when you get to do them blind.

And thay rarely is a thing now.

Im just one of those gamers who doesnt get excited about playing the same level multiple times. (Unless I really loved it the first time).

Compared to the other options hes right.

Classic feels like an actual game.

SoD and retail are just GOGOGOGOGO stop and wait a week… GOOGOGOGO.

No, nobody wants to waste a month time leveling when Ive done it 100+ times. Tww leveling is the perfect lenght from 1 to 80 and can be sped up if you know the dungeon spamming amd exp boosts.

Whoever puts classic above retail in any capacity is lost and should be ignored. Period

There is nothing hard to masterbin classic. Come on now

Well my real idea is to hide an exp pinata (think Greyoll from Elden Ring) part way thru the leveling experience that any player can use to skip the leveling experience entirely.

But honestly just give players exp pots and make heirloom gear crazy.

Even the sweatiest of end game andys are usually pretty eager to jump into the new zones the first time around. (Its just leveling alts that really pisses them off).

Whoever puts classic above retail in any capacity

Classic is undistiputedly one of the greatest games of all time up there with minecraft and fortnite.

Retail WoW is only slightly better than Dragon Age Veilguard.

hard to masterbin

Wash your hands man.

Its usually guaranteed by the third key your will get loot. Unless its just mythic 0 if that then thats bad rng.

I ran Grim Batol 12+ times at +8 and 9 finally got the trinket after spending all day on it.

Went in right after and the trinket dropped for me again… RNG sometimes likes to make us a joke of our own efforts.

As a BC vet myself its been so long its frustrating at times but nothing to quit wow over.

If i haven’t quit through WoD or SL, some loot not insta dropping is certainly not gonna be the reason

Game is too easy.

Any difficulty is contrived or as you stated, purely gatekeeping.

It’s not a challenge to anything but your ability to handle tedium

This is the usual meme but skilled players in classic VASTLY outperform bad/unskilled players in both PVE and PVP.

In PVP this played out in the hardcore tournament in which the highly skilled players just dumped on even moderately skilled players, even in disadvantageous scenarios.

The game has evolved and so have we.

Warcraft is like a planetary system with us players as objects orbiting a star with perihelion and aphelion

Some of us get too lost and escape, some get too close and cannot escape the gravity

Yes the quests provided nothing but rich story and a vibrant living world with interesting characters and new adventures.

There is only dungeons and PvP! If you don’t mythic ultra plus double hardcore, and PvP fight everyone you see, what game are you even playing?!

Maybe slow down. I decided to start a new character and just enjoy the journey through every expansion. I’m currently in Outland and really reading the quest and flavor text and enjoying the world that we were given.
