Anyone feel like now they can get invested into era because we finally know fresh servers aren’t coming any time soon? I personally am and the magic of era is beautiful. Feels like when I first started playing in BC.

Def gonna play both. Experimental vanilla servers are something I’ve thought sounded interesting for awhile now. The augmented pservers peaked my interest.

I too am a bit bemused by the OP because all this talk about the “beauty” of Era when you know well that you’ll be dropping it like it’s hot at the first whiff of “fresh” is amusing.

While this is certainly true, it’s in no way hindering my current enjoyment of the game as someone who is leveling alts and just chilling in the end-game dungeon space. I’d imagine these things will absolutely get in your way if you want to end-game raid and are unable to find a chill guild, but fortunately the Vanilla game has a lot to offer that isn’t just raiding and it can often take a while to get there.
For myself, I’m not about GDKP and min/maxing. I know the game can be played chill and I know guilds who play like that exist. I also know they’re hard to find and, while I could start one, I just don’t have the time to invest in that right now. I was trying to think about what I was gonna do in Era in a month or two when I find myself in a position where I’m at end-game and looking to see what to do next, but I think SoD has afforded me the opportunity to defer that decision yet again

I’m more excited that all the dross will leave era for awhile as they learn how dumb and stupid SoD is. Era will feel like a breath of fresh air for a time.
And don’t forget the bots. They will follow the shiny object just like the masses.
Honestly the best thing for Era is to constantly have stupid crap for the masses to do. Eventually era will be a paradise of zero bots and only players who actually love vanilla.
Era is fun Horde side for those juicy fast AV pops.
