The Morchie fight just skewers pugs. It’s not totally broken or anything, but I really wish either the copies had a more noticable difference from the real Morchie, or there was just a little more time to get out of the frontal.
Going the wrong way initially while trying to find the real one is usually a death sentence.

Obviously, you feel like it wasn’t enough, but they did “nerf” the fight already by making the hats bigger so they would be more noticeable.

The candle and bunny ears are definitely a bit harder to see, but some of them are big enough. Pro tip, if you know you’re not going to make it in time to get behind her even when heading straight for her, get to the edge, if you’re close enough you can still avoid the breath.

Candle is by far the worst. If they just replaced it with multiple candles in an arrangement that gave it some width, that would be a big improvement.
Yep, that’s the idea.
Don’t look for the hats. Look for no hat.

I honestly feel like battlefield is harder in pugs because no one knows the mechanics. Morchie was so much harder when that dungeon was just mythic.

Anyone remember when you had to locate the correct Jandice Barov by memorising what her hair, tiara and makeup looked like?
Those were good times.

Ya…
If you know the mechanic, know when you have to perform the mechanic, and still fail because the interface or graphics is in the way … That’s not good.
Good ole player vs’ interface.

It is hard for blind people to see, yes.

Can’t remember the last time I got hit by her on that fight. Maybe be I’m just lucky.
It’s not interface’s fault. It’s not a hard mechanic. The problem is that some people can only do a mechanic if there’s DBM or a WA to hold their hand. When people have to look at the actual game instead of their UI telling them where to go with a gargantuan arrow they just can’t function.

They should have did it by shoe color!
No, the problem is with a lot of computer / monitor sets ups you have to be too close to the model to tell if it’s the hatless morchie.
So you have to run around to check them and there’s not enough time to make a wrong guess. And that’s what it is. They pop up, you scan the area and you can’t tell which one is without the hat. So you have to make a guess.
Not that it matters much. I just don’t run the Dawns anymore. Or Black Rook Hold which also suffers from similar mechanics which are just too hard to see and avoid.
So I don’t run M+ for fun or to push my IO. Too many dungeons with annoying mechanics that make them not fun to push. Just get enough score so I can get into 18’s without too much trouble.

Worst case if you really can’t find Morchie on the cast shimmy to the middle and just watch everyone else. A lot of time people ping the right one, or just watch where everyone goes and use a movement ability to also go there.

The wow raiders are gettin old… cruelty of time

small 4k monitors don’t help much
sure the belts on your transmog look better.
but everything is smaller, text, hats on morchie, everything.
1080p is prolly the best resolution to play on if you have a hard time seeing things in game.
Even Windows 10 scales for 4k resolution so the text isn’t so tiny
Yep, this is why I hate this fight so much. I know I’m looking for Morchie’s tiny buns, but it’s hard to see. I think if they buffed her entire model by 25% or so during the cast, that would help me to actually be able to recognize the correct head.
For me, my Nameplates tend to get in the way. I very rarely fail it, but it’s still annoying.
I guess I could memorize the keybinding to hide them, but I haven’t tried it.
Think a big part of the problem is when you play zoomed out.
You’re usually on one side of the platform so you spin your camera around and the camera is now that much further away. At 1080p with everything else going on I need to be zoomed in and close to really see hat or not.
So I either get lucky and it’s one of the close morchies or I pick up where she’s at based on what everyone else is doing. Otherwise it’s just pure luck in which way I chose to search first.
This is what makes it hard for me with certain hats, I play as zoomed out as the game lets me. Still I’m in groups that will ping the correct one and I can get out of the way in time.
