Noticing a trend

I liked BfA. Bark up another tree, troll.

Of course they do, they’re one of the forums’ habitual doomsayers.

They really should do season 1 as all 8 new dungeons. Then season 2 shake it up. Kinda lame that they even pulled them from the heroic que. I dont agree 100% with this guy but i can see his disdain with the state of things. 2 of this seasons dungeons arent even that old. Its like we were trying to forget about shadowlands and they shove it down our throats.

Right? I don’t get why they keep adding SL to M+.

Blizzard, most of us hate SL lmao.

It’s been this way for a long time, pretty much the entire history of the game. There are too many reused or reskinned assets to count.

It’s more efficient from a development standpoint, but if you’ve been around for any decent amount of time it’s painfully obvious when a model is just reskinned. Personally, it’s never bothered me that much. It is what it is.

Bfa is a better expansion to play in now that it isn’t current. I disliked a lot of the feature systems of that expansion. That said, war within isn’t much different from bfa. I feel war within is a better overall experience so far for me.

The vendor items are more reasonable to obtain. The rep gain feels better. The gear system I am enjoying more as it’s more alt friendly. The story feels more coherent and all on one side which is better still imo than bfa. We can play together more.

Even this small patch offers more than bfa’s small patch lol.

It’s a bit disingenuous to compare the beginning of an expansion to the end of others.

Legion added extra dungeons later on in it’s lifetime. BFA added another later on. We’re a couple of months into TWW. This is like comparing the progression from the Ford Model T to a '69 Mustang.

Are we seeing less dungeons than 10 years ago? Yes. Are we also seeing different forms of content added that did not exist 10 years ago? Also yes.

Delves weren’t just some afterthought. They have to divert a large amount of resources when they introduce new types of content like that. We also started to get older dungeons added to current M+ lineups, which, in essence, means that we got far, far more dungeons to do then we would have ever gotten in a new xpac strictly using that new expansions dungeons, like how we used to.

The “trend” you’re “noticing”, is new stuff being added to the game that takes time and resources to make. It’s crazy, I know, but that’s the evolution of game design for you.

Must not have heard of Crowd Funding?

Do we have to pay extra for the delves that have 3 different forms of adventures in each too? There’s like 9 delves right?

The forums are so bipolar, that nothing has universal support.

  • Worgen need tails
  • If Worgen get tails, I quit
  • All races - all classes
  • Undo race/class expansion that don’t make sense (Draenei/Mag’har Warlocks, Goblin Monks, Tauren Rogues, whatever)
  • Bring back Tier Sets
  • But not like that. These Tier Sets suck
  • Add new races
  • Delete new races
  • No new races
  • Add new classes
  • Delete [insert class]
  • Only sheep play the meta classes
  • Only bads play the non-meta classes
  • Buff [insert favorite class]
  • Nerf [insert hated class]
  • Here’s the best development advice you never asked for (from someone who is not a dev, is not impartial, has no idea how it works, nor what pitfalls/challenges happen within game dev studios)

Bright side is TWW isnt over, according to the roadmap we will be geting a dungeon in 11.1 abd 11.2, so we break the mold with 10! Tww also has like 13 delves, you can hate the content but its still there. Not to mention the patches are way better now adays as well.
