While doing invasion world quest, when you kill Darkspear trolls their death line will be; "I see da… Other Side." capitalized to represent a place.
And Bwonsamdis realm in The Shadowlands is “The Other Side.” Just thought that was neat.

When you die for the first time, any visuals not the same as this world can be “The Other Side” hell it could be giant purple butterflies around a tower made of marshmallows, if you never seen it before you would think the same thing too.

More likely its based on an actual real world Voodoo thing like loa and all that, but Blizz does love references.
Whenever I google the other side in relation to voodoo, it always directs me to the song, so I wouldn’t know. I do know they love their disney references though, although I was surprised no Frozen reference in Kul’tiras.

I ran into the same issue trying to Google it as well.
I also expected a Frozen ref but I’m not too sad they skipped out, it’s an old ref now at this point. Enjoyed running into Toatana though!
