Since playing hardcore I have had no disconnects whatsoever. Until this week. Specifically, after the Tuesday maintenance.
The disconnects I run into seem innocuous though - I’m stealthed up typing /camp in a super safe spot. Timer ticks down. Logs out and disconnect. Another case where I afk’d at the inn - assuming the same ordeal.
My guild has shared they see it more often when going between zones.
Anyone else notice?

Try updating your graphics driver, especially if you have a nvidia card like me. I had a problem with disconnects too and that fixed it
That’s interesting. I had my first DC last night. After I logged out I did have a driver update available that I did.
Yep guildies all complaining about d/c’s now and I actually had my first like a day or 2 ago.
Had three DC’s within an hour last night on Skull Rock. No warning or lag either, just -boop- while walking the road. Ended up calling it quits just to be safe.
Interestingly, I did just set up a new PC over the weekend, so the Nvidia topic might be relevant. I thought that I updated my driver, but I’ll have to double check.
Yep, had four this morning. Guildies talking about them too.
Coincidentally, Nvidia updated my driver this morning. Two of the dcs were before, and two after, so it’s hard to see it as a driver issue.
I’ve only been DC’d on the log-in screen so far; it just started yesterday for me as well.
Going to have to update that when I get home and see if that fixes it.
I haven’t had a disconnect problem in WoW for years until yesterday. I disconnected multiple times, once in flight, once after landing, and once just running.
I guess I am fortunate to be playing wow using Linux. 0 disconnects, but then they update drivers almost daily or every other day it seems.

Never disconnected in this game the entire time, until last night.
Between tonight and some of today, there has been a total of 5 disconnects.
Two on a flight path.
One seemingly out of nowhere, just zipped outta the game.
Two times upon logout, (as if you wanted to take a few seconds to choose a new character), you’d be disconnected when you’re at the character select screen. I’m counting this as a disconnect, because it’s happened twice in the same exact fashion.
Went from nothing, to 5 in a very short span of time, with many others also having issues.
Certainly, something is borked over there in Blizzard.

I wish I could blame my death on a DC rather than my own stupidity, but I can’t.
Not gonna lie, I’m a bit scared to login now. I’m convinced something is a bit borked on Blizz-end. This is a new issue for me as well, among many other players, ever since the maintenance day.
The DC’s are definitely server-side, since they happen with no lag beforehand, and I can log back in immediately. Almost like a kick command was issued.
I D/Cd in Westfall today while walking. No flight path, no zoning. Just walking. The video I was listening to at the same time kept on going. So it wasn’t my internet.
The nvidia driver did need an update. I DC again a few mins after logging back in.
same here… first DC since starting HC weeks ago, and during a flight path of all times … I was scared
This has been my experience exactly. Could be nothing and coincidental, but I haven’t DCed in Hardcore at all until this week.
Edit: I’ve been leaving Stranglekelp on the seafloor until I feel confident again. I am NOT dying by drowning, lol
Same here. Servers came up Tuesday and I have been having random disconnects flying, walking, changing zones, and on the character select screen. Even with all addons turned off and drivers updated
I have noticed that when I log out to afk a few minutes, I almost always have to reconnect when I return. I want to emphasize these are short afk’s consisting of 3-5 minutes, I’m not running off to Mordor to destroy any rings.
This only happens on the char select screen, I am not getting dc’d while in game.
edit: To be clear this is a brand new issue. This never used to happen.
