I’ve seen an increasing amount of players queuing as a tank or healer, then switching to DPS during the dungeon.
feel like they need to lock people into the spec they queued as like they do when a M+ is started.

yea noticing that a lot too. I thought you couldn’t do that.
Makes me wonder if this is testing, preparation for the masking of the trinity to appear like it’s not there by making everyone a tank with heals and DPS.
Probably because dungeons are so badly tuned that it is faster to go with 4-5 DPS than run with the trinity.
It isn’t until M+ that you need a dedicated tank and healer.
They need to do a major pass on dungeons to fix them.
Sounds like ESO players are coming over as that is a common thing.
FFXIV locks your class for dungeons/raids.
Think that happened to me in an lfr. Both tanks switched to dps. We had no tanks at the start of the raid.
Bad idea. Horrible. If it wasnt for the people who switched to tank, cant even tell when we would have gotten any. We got genuine tank queues by the second boss. Being able to switch dps specs in the middle of a dungeon is also nice.
I may try to queue this weekend as two tanks or two heals just to see what happens.
should’nt have to, as a DPS, slow your DPS down so you dont pull aggro off the designated tank. or Pop cooldowns cus the said tank can’t hold aggro and the healer is in thier DPS spec and cant heal it. it ruins the gameplay experience.
this has been a problem for two decades. Welcome to the party.
