Is it just me- or does anyone else notice a lot less people online after Blizzconline?
I personally felt extremely underwhelmed by the announcements and how they’re walking back adding more customizations. I get the feeling that this is a situation where profits (and maintaining a lean team who can only accomplish the bare minimum) is going to hurt the game.
Do you all think that the player base was disappointed and that we’ll start to see less people playing Shadowlands?

It probably is just you. I don’t know how you could reasonably tell if less people were logging in.

That seems to be the general atmosphere, although of course we can’t speak for anyone else.
That’s inevitable as the expansion progresses, and it won’t necessarily be because of the 9.1 announcements. But I know some people have definitely quit because of them.

A lot of good changes coming 9.0.5 and 9.1, but right now it’s still 9.0.2.

I have noticed a population drop on MG. I have also noticed a lot of “I Quit” posts in the Forums.

lol, I am on moonguard too and I haven’t noticed any change on that server or on this forum

That makes sense. Probably because RP players would be most disappointed by not adding enough cosmetics and customizations.

Did you just switch to that character to make this thread?

So, prior to BlizzConline, I truly doubt there were many people actually cancelling subs.
However, I do think people are starting to get bored. This is compounded by knowing we are not going to have 9.1 for a long time. 9.0.5 has absolutely nothing of note in it that entices you to keep playing.
Customizations are a priority to many people, but I don’t see people genuinely leaving because of it. If you’re leaving, you’re probably just bored.
I know I’m getting burnt out on my main, but thankfully I have RP and alts to play. I have never experienced WoD so I’m slow questing an alt through it and having a great time.
I have no idea what people on normal servers do without RP, though.

I am collecting a bunch of mounts I missed. Currently on the Alpacas 1/3 so far and will have 2/3 within 2 days I believe.

The problem on MG is that there is no good RP.

People just took a couple days off from WoW to relive the ultimate D2 experience before they drop the remaster.

That’s cause current content is old and most players have gotten what they wanted. These players are mostly just doing weeklies for renown and logging off

Well, the game sucks pretty badly, so it’s not surprising.

Probably quit until 9.1 hoping things get better.

Yep, saw a lot less people in main cities tbh.

The BlizzCon QnA was exceptionally disappointing and bad, and as someone who has claimed she will go down with the ship, that’s definitely being tested hard right now. I’ve never quite felt so…upset with Blizzard as a company, and I even enjoy Shadowlands for what it is. But that QnA left an exceptionally bad taste in my mouth, and I’m very annoyed and frustrated. That coupled with my surprise at how much I’ve enjoyed FF14 has made me feel exhausted to continue with WoW. I probably will as I do like the raid, and I love my characters, but that QnA session really causes some strain.

Well yeah. I think most outside of mythic prog, have largely satisfied their WoW goals for this patch.
Curious how many ’ I quit’ threads are on the forum per week after blizzcon and how many were happening in the weeks immediately prior to blizzcon.
