I have taken a few months off of retail in waiting for season 2 but noticed there was a big increase of trial accounts just for the use of trp3, but majority of them are rather questionable? Yes yes I know the saying “what happens in goldshire stays in goldshire.” but its rather concerning with these many trial accounts popping up to avoid suspension for their rp preferences in their trp.

I’m new back after multiple years’ absence, but what I find even more troubling than the trial accounts (and you’re right; they’re everywhere) is the sheer number of people in Goldshire who don’t have TRP3 at all. My character centralizes in Northshire, so I pass through there a lot.
I mean, it’s always been shady down there, but the circus environment is so non-immersive–I mean, I thought we had rules about that sort of thing, but maybe I made that up in my head? These people aren’t even trying anymore.
I don’t know what all they’re up to and I don’t want to know, but I strongly suspect that serious monitoring/moderation is warranted…and not just for RP reasons. We all know what the risks are with that situation, and while I fully support consenting adults doing whatever they like, the whole thing has reached disturbing levels.
I’m halfway tempted to just turn on WM, but then it would be an absolute ghost town, so I don’t know which is worse. Also, that doesn’t actually solve the problem.

Some of them might be 20s Baby Twinks. I play as a Baby Twink and also RP on a trial account so I’ve actually introduced a lot of Baby Twinks (and even 29xp Off Daddy Twinks) to the concept of TRP3.
One of the biggest alliance 20s Twink guilds is on Moon Guard (Golden Twinkies).
Some RPers keep a F2P toon to RP on when real life issues make it so they won’t get enough free time to play to justify a month’s subscription price so they dip in and out of WoW when they can on their trial toon. Some RP guilds will even keep XPoff toons below level 30 so they can continue to play with members who are using a trial toon.
That’s kinda how I got into the F2P scene. I had a gig IRL during Shadowlands and I knew I wouldn’t get enough free time to justify paying $15 a month when I’d only be able to play the game a couple of hours a week at best. Made a trial toon to see what the game would be like from that perspective and have fallen in love with the F2P version of the game in a way I haven’t felt since Vanilla.

Agreed, I love going in there cutting loose, but there are times creeps come out ughhh
i have a second account that is level locked, only have 1 char on it i made for remix to grind those tokens. maybe i can use that char more and just keep it at 20 just for casual rp, never even thought of that before. can make relatives for my other chars or something since i can log both on at the same time
Keep in mind, alot of those characters are probably someone’s MG alt from another server, cause roughly half of Goldshire is folks who come there for the tourism.
Most folks don’t go beyond Goldshire with them either, and it’s like maybe 1 out of 10 folks in there you’ll meet who has a TRP you’ll see outside of Goldshire, mostly it’s just freaky folks from other realms.
