Nothing pisses me off more than blizzard acting like everything is fine

JP/VP being brought back would be a nice start but Blizzard said I’m wrong, so… :upside_down_face:

I would not be surprised to learn that they WANT wow to die. Think about it. They sold millions of copies of wow and are probably legally bound to keep the game going so that people can technically play the game. What if they wanted to get out of the MMO business and put their resources in the more lucrative tablet games but they’re stuck supporting an MMO because of the people who purchased copies. I can imagine that a company might do things to dissuade people from playing the game in hopes they’ll just quit and walk away. BfA was a half effort attempt at an expansion, everyone knows it, and I think its the signal of the decline in wow.

Maybe they’ll open Classic, leave it manage by a skeleton crew with no updates or expansions (cheap) and then close wow. Who knows but something does not smell right about BfA.

So blizzard stocks dropped by 5$ in one weekend, RIGHT AFTER Blizzcon and it happened because of the industry trend ? 5$ in one weekend rly ?
Blizzard stocks dropped an other 8$ right after shareholders call, from thursday to friday, the stock value dropped by 8$ in one day. I guess the industry trend is that everyone drops 8$ per day right ?

How can you be this blindly devoted to a company ? Honestly.

Yeah! I also wouldnt be surprised to know they want to destroy their own company and lose billions of dollars on a future “hope”/potential type thing that isnt set in stone.

Makes sense if you really hate Blizzard/WoW.

They want Fortnite money, the higher ups really want it, and people want raises. So they are feeding into the beast. Unfortunately I dont think blizzard is ever going back to the Wrath days.

Yes or No. Simple question.

In the last few months have nearly all companies in the video game developing industry had massive downward spins in their stocks?

Nothing in my statements is being loyal to Blizzard. I am being loyal to “the truth” and loyal to “not taking things out of context”.

Because giving feedback and suggestions since WoD only to be ignored and told ‘you should give better feedback’ when you don’t write out essays is disheartening.

They’ve already been told. We’ve been telling them for literal years. There are probably months of video content out there on youtube explaining the exact issues with the game. There is SO much feedback. Blizzard has millions of passionate players all giving them feedback. TONS OF THE STUFF. What more do they need?

People are done with this company. That’s the truth. Their mentality, despite how many times Jay Allen Brack apologizes for it, will always be “you think you do, but you don’t.” It’s true that letting the masses dictate the game would be disastrous, but to say that there isn’t well thought out feedback from very smart individuals already out there is beyond insane.

It’s not even about stats at this point. Like I just told someone else, if your stock drops by 8$ right after the annual shareholders call, you don’t need a statistics class to do 1+1=2…

I need the person’s life where the thing that pisses me off the most is Blizzard.

And to say they ignore all feedback, is beyond insane. They listen to a lot.

They just dont listen to the specific feedback you want them to listen to.

Yes, you are trying to attribute one step in a massive downward trend that was already taking place…and pretending like it is all because of Blizzcon.

No Blizzcon, and Blizzard’s stocks still dropped most likely the same amount.

Do you think a large portion of investors are actually mad that Blizzard is opening up to the Chinese market via mobile games? That would be hilarious, and a lot of stupid investors.

Blizzard stock only tanked after blizzcon, after that the drop in stocks was across the whole market. But if they keep this up there wont be a bounce back for them. The market is down anyways right now, but that usually happens this time of the year and they usually go back to normal once fiscal year reports are submit to the SEC, and are open to the public.

everything is fine as long as you are paying $15 a month

Yes. Industry trend is bad.
My turn now.
Yes or no question
Did blizzard stock drop by 8$ in a single day RIGHT AFTER the annual shareholders call ?
Did blizzard stock drop by 5$ in a single weekend RIGHT AFTER Blizzcon ?
There are 2 causes here to blizzard lately poor performance and stocks value.

  1. Industry trend
  2. Lack of confidence in blizzard from their shareholders NOT DUE to industry trend, but due to the company direction.
Again, the industry trend isn’t to drop 8$ in a single day…

It was down nearly 20-30% in the month and a half leading up to Blizzcon. Just like everyone else.

I disagree. I don’t think Blizzard thinks everything is fine. This is why you’ve seen top executives leave the company, Heroes of the Storm get placed into maintenance mode, and so much of Patch 8.1 (and the many hotfixes) designed to react to strong player feedback coming out of 8.0.1 in World of Warcraft.

This is a company that, by all measures, is under tremendous pressure from below (its customers) and above (its parent company). And it is responding.

…and that’s why the game is in its current state. Are you really missing the point?

The shareholders are bloody stupid if they think Blizzard opening up a new game to an entire new market is a reason to sell stock.

So. I will go with its more industry trend than Blizzcon.
