Nothing on my server sells anymore. Other than mats that go for dirt cheap. Gear doesn’t sell whether it’s extremely rare or not. It gets daunting putting things on the ah and having to take them all back through mail…hope they can fix this or incentivize people to buy gear more other than cheap mats.

Because BoE gear is only good for leveling alts and fresh 70s, and everyone probably has their own alts that can make it themselves by now.
The good gear is being sold through work orders and Trade Chat, not the auction house.

Work orders is where it’s at.
I just leveled a paladin and noticed a few things. Some crafted items before 70 are too expensive. Dungeons and quests give easy rewards instead of thousands for green items.
Also at 70 you have the catch up gear or craftables through work orders.

Don’t sell current stuff. Sell transmogs and mounts. Blizz killed casual gold making in this expansion.

Um. Your server is one of the many I’m on, and I’ve been selling gear there consistently.
Well, you see, that’s because your server isn’t Illidan, Sargeras, Stormrage, Area 52, Mal’ganis, Thrall, Zul’jin, or Tichondrius. There’s also Frostmourne if you’re Australian.
If you’re playing on a server that isn’t one of these servers, you’re playing the game incorrectly.

No, but if you use a second account or a friend you can move items between realms now through trading.
It’s hard to make a buck atm because the prices of materials have cratered to the point you only make profits with multicraft procs. Dracothyst used to sell for 8-10k+ a piece now they’re down to almost 2k. Used to make booku profits if I got a 3x crit on them.
I mean, I know we aren’t exactly printing money anymore like we could with the WoD mission table, but with the dragonflying world quests giving over 500-600g each, along with the cataloguing and rock climbing ones giving 600-700g, it’s really not that bad.
There are also new systems like the Naxxramas classic crafting for extra gold too.
Server matters. I’m on a low pop and nothing moves now but that’s 'cause there seems to be a lot less playing the game on that server.
I think you’d need to have the luck o f the draw on lower pop ones or be on full pop to have or move more inventory.

try farming the green boe from world content and running old raids.
Ive made a mint on it in the past…upwards of 50k for one piece at times
IvI made more money this xpac off the AH than any other. My gold intake has been solid and steady, through crafting orders and AH together. World quest income is sufficient for consumables.
I don’t miss tables.
Fwiw reagents tanked in SL too, and there was hundreds of thousands of easy gold to make in ZM.

We finally have a system where some people can get rich with crafting, and so all the AH people are complaining. Well, you anyway.
If you want to get rich, try old expansion mats. The price for cobalt and saronite on my server is ridiculous.
